Colin, don’t forget to remind people to use their ebates link to get 6% cash back…. This is an awesome deal – ordering my girl a new comforter set, thanks : )

Macy’s also has some awesome clearance deals on men’s big and tall sweaters and flannels. Only $3.99 after the code!

FYI, some of the say they won’t ship for 23 business days. I almost ordered one for my daughter for camp but then realized it wouldn’t arrive in time. Too bad; it’s a great deal if you’re not in a hurry for it!

Just my opinion, I ordered the Ainsley set around Christmas time for a guest bed when they had a similar deal. I had someone else pick it up from the store but if I had picked it up, I would have immediately returned it! Very cheap rayon/polyester or some weird cheap fabric and the colors are not true to the picture. Very bold colors and not my style. This comforter is similar to what you would find at Dollar general for the same price or less.

I agree. I had bought the tribal one before and the colors faded so quick and in the first week the one corner frayed and got a hole in it. Save your money!

I also ordered the Ainsley a few months ago. I even wrote a nice review because I thought it was so beautiful. The fabric didnt bother meat first and the light weight didnt bother me either. But after a couple of washes…I couldnt believed how it faded! The fabric is so cheap. I bought it to replace a comforter we bought at Walmart that after 6 years, looks MUCH better than my Ainsley. I wasted my money, I put it away but it makes me angry each time I see it. I will donate it and try to forget about such a bad purchase.

I couldn’t agree more. I had it on our bed and I remember shutting the bedroom door when we had company. Threw it out within a couple of weeks of first wash because I was too busy to shop for a new set. Wish I had done what I usually do when I get new comforters/sheets, which is wash it first. Had I washed it immediately, I would have bagged it all up and immediately gone back to the store.

You all have the same good opinion. I thought I had incredible deals with Macy’s purchases. Buying Queen Size Comfort Sets that were marked down from $200 to $29.99. These sets are HORRIBLE. Last week, I had a queen size sheet tear in the dryer. I thought I got incredible deals with Macy’s so I always raved about Macy’s, but the stuff while it seems so expensive, is so cheaply made. Just an honest review.

Sorry to hear that 🙁 Thanks so much for the honest review! I sure do appreciate it!

Thanks for the tip on the bedding, Ebates AND Big and Tall deals! You guys all rock!

  6. Sara

I got a similar deal a few months ago and got a set for my 7 year old.
She loves it! However, I would not spend much more than that on the set. It is very cheaply made but perfect for her needs at this time.

    • Collin (Mrs. Hip)

      Thanks for sharing Sara!

  7. Karen

I purchased an absolutely wonderful quality
5 piece queen comforter from Macy’s that Collin posted a few weeks ago. It was around $37 and is part of Martha Stewart’s Whim Collection. I absolutely love it and cannot believe I paid so little for such a nice set.

    • Collin (Mrs. Hip)

      Glad to hear it Karen!

  8. Melissa Rice

These are really cheap. I trusted Macy’s and bought them a while ago. Total waste of money. Never again.

    • Collin (Mrs. Hip)

Sorry to hear that Melissa 🙁 Did you contact customer service for a possible refund or exchange?

I have this comforter set from months ago when it was last on sale. It’s not bad. Kind of scratchy, but I’ve had to for a while now and as it starts to get warmer out where I’m from, it’s comfy to have because it is light weight, so I can still have it on me when I sleep, even though it’s warm outside. For this price, if you can get it with free shipping or shipped to store, I would purchase it!

Just noticed that there is a $3.00 extra shipping charge for these comforter set.
“This item is assigned a shipping surcharge fee of $3.0 based on size/weight and/or special shipping requirements”
