I have a swing like this that my MIL gave me, still sitting in its box two months later because I have nothing to hang it from. Unless you have a good tree limb or a swing set with an empty space, a stand is going to be expensive. :/
Buy a 8′ cedar fence post and put it 3 feet into the ground. Attach a support that sticks out and attach the swing to that. Relatively cheap fix.
Great suggestion hellfire. I do have a tree to attach mine to. However, suggestions are golden from other H2Savers! Love it!
When I was a child 30 years ago I had this little tikes swing. My grandmother had my grandpa screw 2 of screws like this https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Eye_bolt to the underside of the doorway and the swing from that in the house. My grandmother use to swing me in it all the time. That swing is still one of my favorite childhood memories.
Thank you! Just ordered one for our little girl. Can’t wait to add it to our playset for her.
Aww, how exciting! You’re very welcome!
This is a great price. I paid $10 for a new one at the Second hand store while waiting for the price to drop from the regular $25-$35 price at stores. I would have been a taker on this price 🙂
Thanks for the feedback Lynn!
I have one of these and use it all the time. My son loves it!
Glad to hear how much he has enjoyed it Lisa! Thanks for sharing!
We hung ours with two hooks we screwed into our 2nd story deck and it works great. My son is 3 1/2 and we still use it.
