Ladies – don’t know where else to post this so this seemed like a good place! I’m going to be a Grandma in about 7 months & obviously I haven’t had to buy diapers in awhile so I’m out if touch with the prices of baby things! Also didn’t coupon when my kids were little but do now! So, can you tell me please, what’s a “good” (stock-up) price to pay for diapers? Also, does it really matter what brand they are or is that just a personal preference? Thank you in advance! Never too early to start getting ready, right? 😎
Hi Tammy, congrats on becoming a Grandma! I’m not quite up to date on current prices since my daughter is going to be 10 this September, but seeing that there are no another responses I thought I’d chime in about the brand. The brand is always a personal preference, depends on your budget and what works best for the baby. We tried Huggies, Luvs (I didn’t like them at all!) and eventually settled on Pampers. They were the softest and stayed on better than others. That was 9 years ago, maybe there’s something better nowadays. Good luck with experimenting. 🙂
Thank you Olga! I appreciate you taking the time to comment! Let the shopping begin! 😎
Some people prefer Huggies, but they leaked when I used on my babies. I like Pampers. I heard some parents experienced Pampers leaking and switched to Huggies. So it really depends. You might have to try. Pampers swaddled were good for the first months, since there is a wet indicator on it. Later, I prefer baby dry, because it is softer. I love Luvs, though. When I’m done using with Pampers as baby shower gifts, I switched to Luvs (at about size 3) for both of my lil ones. They are soft, absorbing well, and hold through the night. They are so much cheaper! The best part is that if you keep the receipt and you don’t like Luvs, you can mail in the receipt and barcode for refund (limited one only per household).
Thank you Wen! A lot of great info! Thanks fir sharing!
Hi Tammy! I have a little boy and Huggies worked great for us. We tried Pampers & Luvs, but we went back to Huggies and stuck with them. A cheaper alternative that also worked well for us was the Target brand of diapers. Congrats on becoming a Grandma!
Thank you for sharing with me Athena! I appreciate it!
Thank you for the codes Colin! I have found that with me Pampers worked best with my girls I hear time and time again that Huggies seem to work best for boys and Pampers for girls. I had zero luck with Luvs and other off brands. I think aslot has to do with body shape and sleep position too.
You’re welcome Lynne! Thanks for the feedback!
Thank you so much!!
Thank you Collin !!! Tammy congrats on becoming g grandma. Diapers depend on personal preferences but I have always used pampers since he was a baby
