I am looking to get a set of glass storage containers. I was waiting until Xmas to get a set bc I know there are so many good deals. Does anyone know if this is as good of a deal than what I will see around Xmas?

    • KJ

Yes! This is similar to the one at Christmas. I love these containers.

Just ordered the Anchor Hocking 6pc Rectangular TrueSeal Food Storage Set, Cool Lids. I have a bunch of the round containers with lime green lids I got at Aldi’s. This set was just over $16 after tax was added. Fantastic deal compared too Amazon. Thanks!

    • Collin (Mrs. Hip)

      Awesome! You’re welcome Jennifer!

Does anyone know when they usually put out new colors? I’m not loving the green but I am loving the price.

    • mzannn

Not sure when they put out new colors, but these green and red ones have been out for over a year. I would love to see some new colors!

I’m curious if anyone has had this true seal before and what they’re like? There is a reason Anchor is cheaper because the lids arent great. Mine all split pretty quick but my Pyrex are going strong after 5 years. I’ve accidentally dropped the Pyrex many times and nothing has happened but dropped an Anchor and it broke.

    • maclover

I agree. Pyrex lids are sturdier. Anchor lids are weaker and are not snug like when the first time you use it .
I am trying to order a seperate set of lids myself but they tend to be expensive than the set

If you scroll to the bottom of the page the warranty informations says:

If any piece fails to conform to this warranty, return the piece with proof of purchase to Oneida Ltd. at the address below. Oneida Ltd. will, at its option, replace the affected piece (not the complete set) at no charge. A similar piece will be used for replacement if the original pattern is no longer available. This warranty does not cover any damage or defects caused by misuse, abuse, or failure to use proper care in accordance with the instructions provided.

This warranty gives you specific legal rights, and you may also have other rights which vary from state to state. If you have any questions, please reference contact information below.

You should call Oneida regarding the defective lids.

If you checkout the Anchor site, it looks like TrueSeal items have a 5 year warranty (800) 562-7511, ext. 247.

they added a $5.00 handling fee to my order πŸ™

    • Collin (Mrs. Hip)

Oh bummer! How odd, as I do not have a handling fee when heading through checkout πŸ™ I’m wondering if it would be different if you used a different browser? Hope this helps!
