targetWow! Did you know that you can bring gift cards from leading consumer brands (such as JCPenney, Sears, Starbucks and more!) that still have a balance to a participating Target store and exchange them for a Target gift card that can be used for online purchases at Target.com or in any Target store!? This is a great deal if you have a wallet/drawer full of gift cards you are never going to use and you are a frequent Target shopper!

Please note that each merchant charges a different percentage to purchase your gift card for the Target gift card (i.e. – you may only get a $20 Target gift card when exchanging a $25 Sears card).

Also, I called the 1-877-277-2707 customer service number and was told that they are not able to give me the percentages over the phone, so you’ll need to stop by the electronics department and ask your store’s Mobile expert for more details.

You can also trade in your used consumer electronics for top value with Target’s trade-in program. Just generate quotes for your devices and ship them to Target using the prepaid shipping label generated at the end of process. They promise same-day processing and fast payment.

hi there all & H2S!!!! Just wanted to tell u i have been shopping on lee.com for 2-3 days in a row and today i was offered a 10.00 off popup window if i took a survey, it said i didnt qualify so i didnt get it and it gave me 15% off coupon code instead. not sure if it is 10.00 off 10 or 50.00 or something. also to qualify in the survey i think u have to check the box that u bought something off lee.com. could be 10 off 10, just thought may be something worth looking into. TY:)

      Oh cool! Thanks for sharing!

Nice! I have a $10 statement credit when spending $50 at Olive Garden on my Amex card! I’ll buy a gift card and trade it to get $40 for $50.

Am I missing something? It sounds like a bit for work for nothing…. if Target might only give you $40 for that gift card then you aren’t obtaining anything extra.

      • Happymama

if you have minimal amounts on gift cards at places you never shop at, this would be a great option.

        • parkerspantry

I understand that part- but Kristi was talking about buying a $50 gift card for $40 and then turning around and selling it to Target….. who will probably pay no more than $40. So am I missing the benefit of that?

Let’s say you received a gift card as a gift to a store that you’ll never go to. You can trade it in for a target gift card you know you’ll use.

        • Elaine

That’s what I was thinking. If its not a gift card you can use or re gift then getting a Target gift card in return is much better than getting no use out of it.

  3. Just Me

My sister said they didn’t accept Macy’s gc.

    • Collin (Mrs. Hip)

Hmm, Yeah, I am not seeing them on the list when clicking through the link.

  4. Linda

Sweet!!! I have a PF changs card that I received as a gift for years and never go there for $25. I wonder what I would get for a target GC. My only concern is I hope my store knows the program or else this might be a hassle to trade in.

    • Jess

You can use PF Changs gift cards at Pei Wei.

  5. Bokni

Does anybody know if they accept e-gift card? Thanks

  6. Melanie

I’m not sure how “fair” a $1 trade in amount is for a fully functioning 32gb iPhone 4. Lol πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚

    • pandoraaddict

It’s old & out dated in the tech world, can’t be resold for much.

  7. Amanda

Melanie I will double their price and give u 2. Lol joking. Some places are crazyyyy

    • Melanie

      Lol Amanda!! πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚

Neat. Fwiw, sears, lands end and kmart are all owned by same entity and you can spend those store credits and gift cards at all sister stores for full face value.

  9. Tracie

Thanks so much! I didn’t realize they had an electronics trade in program. I got an apple watch during a deal I saw here (Best Buy – upgrade phone and get $200 of an apple watch) so I got one for $50. I never wear it and Target will give me $80 for it!

    • Collin (Mrs. Hip)

      Sweet! You’re welcome Tracie! πŸ™‚

Does it work for in store credit too? I have some in store credit to old navy I’d like to exchange for a Target card.

WENT TO THE ROCKFORD EAST STATE TARGET TO DO THE GIFT CARD EXCHANGE AND THE PROGRAM DOESNT EVEN WORK. THE GUY THAT WAITED ON ME WAS MORE INTERESTED IN EVERYTHING GOING ON AROUND HIM, HE PRETTY MUCH SAID TOO BAD DOESNT WORK. NOT TRY BACK LATER NOT WERE WORKING OUT THE BUGS. IF THE PROGRAM DOESNT WORK DONT ADVERSTISE IT.
