Are new balance really 159$? I’ve never worn this brand.Does anyone have any experience with New Balance?
New Balance are a high end, high quality athletic shoe brand. And yes, it’s not unusual to pay $160 for a pair.
It depends on the style. Like all athletic shoes, there are low end, middle, and high end.
Thanks for the feedback.Looking for a super comfortable sneaker fora friend. She’s always complaining about her feet hurting.
i just bought these on a flash sale last week, the exact same ones. they are definitely comfy. New Balance has a very wide range of styles and prices, and some really are over 100 or 150 dollars.
two things: 1) so far, i don’t notice a difference between these and previous shoes i’ve owned that are more like $80, BUT it’s only been a week, and i obviously haven’t put a lot of miles on these yet. they may last longer, or for long duration runs, they may make a big difference. i don’t know yet.
2) New Balance runs a bit narrow, in my experience. that’s perfect for me, i order a regular size. but some people find the “wide” size more comfortable, even if they usually wear a regular width in other brands.
New Balance are expensive but they’re made in the USA and super comfy so worth the extra money. A few years ago I got my son a pair of $219 ones for $29. He was in 8th grade and wearing men’s size 11. Those sneakers were sharp and held up for an entire school year.
Sweet! Good to know how well they hold up! Thanks for the great feedback!
