How is the cancellation process ? because it doesn’t let you do 30 days and then sign up if you want to :/
Is there any way to get it for $2.50 per month for a whole year?
Cancellation is easy. My 3 year wasn’t very interested in it. Itay be better for 4 & up.
I just went into my apple account and I canceled my subscription that way. Never had to talk to anyone.
Thanks for the feedback! Glad to hear it was easy to cancel!
This program is horrible!! I enrolled my great grandson for a Christmas gift. My granddaughter told me how poorly it operated. I had only enrolled him for a one year program just about one and a half months before Christmas. My granddaughter told how bad it was. I contacted ABC Mouse through email. Tried by phone first – no return call. Email response did refund part of my costs but at a value of $7.95 per month for just about 2-3 months of a 12 month enrollment (about half of what I should have gotten back). Just want to fore warn those considering that the program does not work well!!
Bummer! Sorry to hear your family was not pleased with the program. Thanks so much for sharing your experience!
My kids and I were disappointed with abcmouse and cancelled after the initial two months were up…not even worth $2.50 a month.
I saw on groupon there is a 2 month trial if anyone is still interested. I am still thinking about it, on the fence.
Our free public library has this on the children’s computers. If yours does, you could try it out to see if you like it. My 4 year old grandson likes it so we go once a week for storytime and ABC Mouse.
Great tip! Thanks for sharing!
I recommend going to a local public library to try ABC Mouse if you are interested in seeing how it works and what software is on it.
I know the library I work for has this software installed on the children’s learning computer in the juvenile section. I have not played with it personally myself but it is pretty popular with our patrons under 7.
Thanks so much for the helpful feedback Melissa! Good to know!
Anyone have a suggestion for something similar for older kids?
Always-icecream.com for girls or clever-dragons.com for boys
I agree with others that I was less than impressed with this program. I have zero expectation that it will help them advance in reading. But my kids like it & I allow them to do play it for their allotted screen time. At least they’re not watching random egg YouTube videos anymore!
Lol random egg videos on YouTube… This is why I’m considering it! She loves her random YouTube videos.
A free suggestion that I used frequently for my Grankids is called Zoodles.
Parents have the control over what apps you have or want to allow your kids to utilize, allotted play time, videos are limited to their age groups, it has built in activities as well as books etc. Each child quickly learns how to log in using their own pic and once inside zoodles they cannot access anything else on your computer or tablet. Parents control it all! We love it and highly recommend it
After trying ABCmouse with my kids I feel that there are so many free sites out there. They are just as good, if not better. Videos on YouTube for younger kids… look up Super Simple Songs or Baby Genius. For a free learning site try starfall . com
My son gets it for free through his kindergarten teacher. She sent home a code for them to log in with so check with your preschool/school district and see if the teachers there don’t already have an account they can share with their students.
I just saw a couple days ago a promo for 2 free months of this service, my kid loved it.. we had it for over a year but then his dad didn’t renew it… so sad…
