   I just want to comment on Corelle… I got my original set 20 years ago when I was first married. It’s been pretty good overall, but don’t let it hit a tile floor. ( I *thought* it was indestructible- who told me that?!!) After 20 years, and 7 kids, some of it IS starting to crack and break in my dishwasher. Compare that to the Rachel Ray set that a friend bought me: It was gorgeous, but starting chipping RIGHT AWAY. I was so bummed. I think our big family will stick with Corelle, but I don’t consider anything to be indestructible, LOL!

  My Corelle has lasted 18 years so far. I often “complain” to my husband that it lasts too long. I would like something new can’t justify it because my old set is still in great shape!

   My Corelle has lasted 22 years so far and is in perfect condition! I always laugh at friends who buy those expensive sets and replace their dishes every 2 yrs because of chips!

   Yes I have had Corelle plates fall to the ground and shatter and its actually worse because the shards are tinier and harder and sharper then regular glass or ceramic. Overall great brand though.

    When I met my husybnd 10 years ago he had his parents Basic white set they got for there wedding 25yrrs prior. I got rid of my set of dishes and we till use them everyday!
    I love them.
