Anyone have one of these? Do you like it?

Hi Beth, I have this exact model and would not recommend it. My first one quit working after 8 months and while Fitbit customer service did replace it, the replacement they provided also quit working after 7 months. Unfortunately, per customer service the 1 year warranty is valid from the original date of purchase, so even though neither unit made it a year they won’t replace it. I am not hard on my stuff and was extremely careful with this, and am very disappointed neither unit held up. I will not be buying another Fitbit product, regardless of how inexpensive it is.

Beth, I have this model and have had no issues with it at all. If you are considering it, maybe just keep the receipt/box so that if you have issues they can replace? At the sale price it might be worth trying; I love mine.

I also have one and would not recommend it either. My first one bike in the first year. The band bubbled up and pulled away from the tracker part. It was replaced through FitBit but still very disappointed for an item that costs $$.

      HI Beth,
My hubby and I both have been wearing this model for almost a year now (since last May). We LOVE it!!! He is a runner- runs every day and has 3 marathons coming up. My SIL has one also and the band started to separate from the screen on hers after 9 months of daily 24/7 wear- she thinks because she sleeps with it on and her arm is bent in a funny position. She called FitBit and they mailed her a brand new one- no questions asked- because she was still within the 1 year manufacturer warranty period. I don’t sleep with mine on, so I’ve not had a problem with any separation 11 months in now. It is a great device, especially for this price! We paid $130/ each for ours a year ago and that was a deal at the time! I don’t know how long people expect these to last, especially if you are wearing them 24/7. NOTHING is invincible and eventually anything breaks down. It’s only rubber, after all!

I’m on #4 I’m less than 2 years. I wouldn’t recommend it either. All 3 previous ones, the band peeled away, one of them it completely separated and I had 2 pieces of one band. Now this one is bubbling as well. I wear them everyday, take it off when I shower or wash dishes.

I have mixed feelings about this tracker. It does a good job of steps, has a heart monitor that gives you an approximate..it is not accurate. Best feature is the sleep recording. You do not need to push any buttons for it to start recording sleep. However it is not water proof, the battery runs down quickly and you have to use their specialized cord to plug it in..not regular usb. Just after 1 year the band separated so I am disappointed in this since this has not seen hard use.

I would not recommend getting the charge hr. I have had 4 replacements and all of them have had problems with the band peeling off of the tracker. Each one only lasted 4 months. Customer service was very good until the warranty expired. I was offered a discount on my next fitbit product that I will not buy.

I would not recommend it either, I’ve gone through 3 in under 2 yrs, first one stopped working before a yr, was replaced by Fitbit only to have the same issues in about 4 months, Called Fitbit and the second was replaced in February and as of right now May, my Fitbit just quit, I’m thinking the replacements are used products.

I’ve also had two. First one lasted 8 months before the rubber band started peeling away. The second one lasted 9 months before the section that you plug in fell off along with the button on the side. I called customer service to see about replacement and was told I was calling after the one yr warranty and that I could have a 25% off coupon, to which I replied no thank you, if your product can’t even last a year before it breaks down, I will not be using the coupon to buy another faulty product. Besides, I could get the product for less than what they have it listed on their site with the 25% off from places like eBay or Groupon. Anyway, they decided to send me another one of the same, I was hoping for the new design…which btw, does seem to be better made than this one. I will either start using this “new” one or I will sell it and get the new design. Haven’t decided just yet. Good luck!
