Yes, these chairs are wider and a little more durable than the normal ones. I bought two last Christmas for around $23 each so I bought four more today! They are perfect for my 6’3″ tall, heavy boys!

This is a really nice chair. Bought one last year for my DH to take hunting and fishing. Gone through way to many of the “cheaper” chairs. You can see the quality difference right out of the box.

Bought 2. Had purchased 2 heavy duty chairs from Walmart a few years ago and one of them tore up recently (pocketknives and canvas don’t mix apparently). It’s worth the money for the more durable chairs even if your weight doesn’t dictate needing it. You can feel a quality difference.
