Target Now Offering Cat & Jack Sensory-Friendly Clothing for Kids with Disabilities
Do you have kiddos that don’t like itchy tags and/or embellishments found on their clothing? If so, you may be happy to hear that Target recently announced that they are expanding their Cat & Jack brand even further to include adaptive pieces to help address the needs of children living with disabilities.
Available exclusively on Target.com, these pieces feature heat-transferred labels instead of tags, flat seams, & one-dimensional graphic tees, all designed to minimize discomfort when in contact with the skin. These styles are based on existing Cat & Jack styles, combining fashion, function & affordability.
You can shop the limited selection of Cat & Jack sensory-friendly pieces in sizes XS-XL (Big Kids) and 2T-5T (Toddler) at Target.com, with prices ranging from $4.50 to $7. Go here for more details.
I feel like most kids in general hate tags and itchy clothes so this will be great. I was always very sensitive to that as a child. It’s encouraging that Target is picking up on the needs of consumers.
Yep agreed. I cut off all my kids clothes tags. I never read the care instructions. As for size wise, even same company have varying sizes under the same size #, it all comes down to where they are made. Just last week I got 2 pants from same company, one made in Bangladesh and one in Vietnam, but there was a 2 inch length difference. I think all clothing including adults should have ironed on labels.
Exactly!
Wow this is awesome…
They are available im stores as well…Ive seen the styles at my near Target store as well.
My daughter is on the spectrum, so it warms my heart that some companies take our needs into consideration. TY Target and TY H2S ladies for sharing!
You’re welcome Carrie!
More elastic waist pants for boys!!! Kinda disappointing boy selection but everything has to start somewhere!
I was just thinking this!!!
I agree too. I have all boys and when I go shopping I find 10 racks of girls clothes and about 4 for boys. Not just Target, its any store.
Thanks for the heads up. My son has SPD and HFA. The more options for clothing the better. Even though all my children dislike tags!
No socks? π
Love this! My kids love polyester…need more poly shirts!
They should expand this to young adult and adult sizes. I work with teens who have sensory issues. Plus, I have two of my own teen boys with sensory issues. One hates tags and the other hates decals.
This is wonderful…such an amazing thing to doππ
Great for target and cat and jack. I’ve never considered sensory sensitivity a disability though. A bit dramatic or maybe I’m just the sensitive one! π€·πΌββοΈ
