Happy Friday: Thank You, Co-Workers!
Sent from reader, Jessica:
When I take a long vacation from work, I like to say thank you to co-worker(s) that have to take on my workload while I’m out. It’s a nice gesture and lets them know I truly appreciate them. And it’s easy to make a quick bag of goodies. For this men’s “thank you” bag, I spent less than $2 with a priceless sentiment.
-RX Bar: part of the RX bar deal that was posted on Hip2Save
-Nivea sample (free)
-Coconut men’s lotion: $0.30 cents from Target’s Easter clearance
-Got2B: free using coupon, sale, & SavingStar
-Oreo Bar: $0.50 cent MM using coupon, sale & Ibotta
-illy iced coffe: $0.99 cents from 99 cent store
-Gift Bag: $0.30 cents from Easter clearance
For women’s bags I like to include lotions, lip balm, etc.

Such a sweet gesture!
This is a perfect idea to give my coworkers when I come back from maternity leave!!!
Love this!! Collin and Hip2Save Team 🙂 I need affordable Christmas co-worker gifts as well? With a team of 17 that report to me!
when i have had to buy gifts in bulk for an office, i watched for those kind of deals on gift cards for food places that happen around Christmas-time or Black Friday. restaurants often have something where if you buy a gift card, you get a free combo meal coupon with it, or spend $50 in gift cards and get a bonus gift card for $10.
then you can usually have them split it up. so, for example, Culver’s had spend $25 on gift cards then get a bonus coupon for free combo up to $8.99 or something last Christmas. have them split it up into 5 gift cards for $5 each, you keep the bonus so at least you feel like you are getting something of value back to offset the expense. and you could do multiple transactions, they didn’t mind.
food usually appeals to everybody!
Yes, the best gift I ever remember getting from a supervisor was a $5 Starbucks card. I typically don’t drink coffee but I knew that it was something that my husband would enjoy. It was a nice gesture and I’m sure that my boss did some sort of deal like that.
Thanks silverfantic!! I have done the $5 Starbucks gift cards for a “just because” for my team and teacher gifts! It’s so nice they can buy a tea or coffee
Thank you!! I’ll have to keep an eye open for those gift card deals during Black Friday
What a nice idea! I never even thought to do anything like that.
From an HR perspective, would stick with treats over grooming products. Plenty of room for misinterpretation or offense if a coworker gives deodorant and toothpaste.
Funny but true, good point
Thanks so much for sharing. Im going on a seven days cruise and some coworkers will have to deal with the work overload, so on my way back now i know what to do…
Wow what a sweet gesture! Your co-workers are lucky to have you😉
Aww…thanks!
I have gone on maternity leave from work two times and took a couple of weeks off after a surgery. I always come back to work with donuts or bagels as a thank you to everyone who worked a little harder because I was off. 😋
Thank you all for the sweet comments! I’m so excited it was posted 🙂
