January Products We Love (Time to Organize the Pantry AND Get Inspired in the Kitchen)
Like to Cook? We ❤️ this Magazine!
As I mentioned last week, we’re starting 2018 with an AWESOME January lineup featuring some of our favorite products! With that said, many Hip2Save team members LOVE Cook’s Illustrated magazine. It’s not only a great gift for all the cooks out there, but it will also get you inspired to cook more… especially if you’re like me and often dread being in the kitchen.
Cook’s Illustrated provides you with yummy recipes, cooking techniques, plus product and food recommendations – including the best ways to prepare dishes like pot roast, holiday cookies, grilled salmon and fruit cobbler.
And you’ll learn about the best and worst cooking equipment, the best and worst brands and the best cooking techniques. They even conduct their own in-house taste tests! Love that!
Even better, this magazine is published without a single page of advertising! WooHoo!
Interested in subscribing to this magazine or know someone who might be?
Now through January 24th, you can head on over to DiscountMags.com to score a one-year subscription to Cook’s Illustrated magazine (6 issues) for only $6.99 shipped whenever you use promo code HIP2SAVE at checkout – that’s just $1.16/issue! And, you can grab up to two years for this low price!
This is a HOT buy, especially when compared to the $20 subscription price on Amazon!
In addition to getting inspired in the kitchen, I am assuming many of you are looking to get the pantry organized too?
We are LOVING these super durable Clear Handled Storage Baskets from The Container Store! You may be able to find similar baskets at Dollar Tree or Big Lots, so be sure to keep your eyes peeled if you’re doing some Spring cleaning/organizing.
These handled baskets are available in sizes Small or Large (both under $5) and are great for using in the pantry or fridge for storing food, under your sink to organize cleaning supplies, in a cabinet to hold hair accessories… really anywhere! You can even use them to store diapers/wipes and grab them in a hurry.
Cool – I’ve never heard of that magazine. My husband & I were just discussing whether or not we should clean out the “cook book” shelf. We so often just use recipes online anymore so it would be nice to free up that cabinet space in our kitchen.
My husband and I got a subscription and we just LOVE it! So many neat tips and tricks that we actually discuss each issue!
Collin- what flavor are those cashews? Haha
They are just roasted and salted…. but I do LOVE the jalapeno ones Emerald sells too! They are SO good. 😋
If anyone lives near a Daiso, I recommend their containers. They have really sturdy ones, price is the tiniest bit higher; but I really prefer them strength wise. Although, I do own both; from dollar store and Daiso.
Daiso has some amazingly well-made products. Thanks for the reminder!
I love Daiso! Their quality is so much better than tipical dollar stores. They are a Japanese company. When I went to Japan I saw Daiso everywhere!!
Great deal. Ordered 2 years for my daughter and myself…cooking and gadgets with step by step examples. Thanks
You’re so welcome Gail!
Delicious recipes – I have an issue with the best turtle brownies from scratch.
I need those handled baskets 😍
they sell similar baskets at dollar tree though I am sure not as sturdy. they are handy though!!
Those baskets would be perfect for my seasonings and similar items.
For that price I am giving Cook’s Illustrated a try!
Great, glad you are trying it!
We use those baskets (from Big Lots) in our camper shelves. They keep everything from shifting and are easy to grab when something is needed. They also help if you happen to be height impaired with getting things from the shelves without a stool…
This magazine is wonderful. I have a few of their books also. The recipes are nearly full proof. I am not great in the kitchen – but I make a mean lasagna and cheesecake because of their recipes. I highly recommend
I love Cook’s Illustrated. Thank you!
You’re welcome!
Thank you for this magazine subscription. I love this one and wouldn’t have subscribed because of cost, but I just did 😉 thanks 🙂
You are so welcome, Jen!
Cook’s Illustrated is AWESOME have their magazine & cookbook! Plus you know the recipes are tested. Thanks HIP2SAVE Team!
You are welcome!
Thanks so much! I just ordered two of the Cook’s Illustrated subscriptions. One for my father-in-law and one for my brother. They both love to cook and I feel that they’ll both really enjoy this magazine!
How sweet! Happy you could score a subscription for each of them!! You’re most welcome!
I saw those handled baskets at the Dollar Tree yesterday. I didn’t think they would fit in my cabinets, though (no pantry).
