Did you have to do separate orders? It said 3 was the maximum I could order. hmmm.
These are nice bins for the price i got 80 last time they were on sale i may pick up a few more
80? Sure that was enough?
She might be donating them to church or any other organization or just has a lot of stuff and trying to get organized main thing is: none of your business 🙂
Oh my goodness! I’m sure she was kidding. Stop the snarky judgement and get a sense of humor.
yikes!!! claws coming out early on this one!!! Get a grip ladies..LOL these comments…lol omg…make me LOL
I just pick up a few to store more clearence holiday items . Thanks
You’re welcome! Great idea Keesh! I need to begin organizing my clearance scores as well!
I’m moving and I kinda need them but they kinda take up space… Just thinking what can I pack up now for my move in November🤔
I have been packing for months using these. Label them with masking tape and store what I know I don’t need!
I would like to get the purple 16.5 gallon ones for toys and clothes storage for my 3 yr old. Does anyone know if these are good to put in the attic? I am worried about the scent from the attic. I feel things I put in the attic have a certain scent. Any advice?
I have stored them in the attic many time and havnt had an issue yet but thats just my experience. I also live in cali so climate might have something to do with it. Im not sure. But id say try it.
I could be wrong, bur maybe putting in some new dryer sheets every few layers of clothing will help?
they aren’t airtight so the scent will probably get in. You could always put them in vacuum bags and then store it in the boxes – that’s what I do, also to put more in.
I was going to say same thing, put in vacuum bags, they are awesome to keep the clothes clean, no smell, but they can get pricey, so maybe ceram wrap/plastic wrap around the box. where my mother in law leaves the clothes really get smelly so I am planning to bring some vacuum bags for her to keep items from one seazon to another.
I did this deal yesterday and there is also an additional 5% off on Target cartwheel for plastic storage bins 🙂
I don’t know if you’d call this a hack, but here’s a “hack” for 20 gallon totes…
If you have a rising college freshman who has decided to go to college far from home, read on. I can’t take credit for this genius idea and this would have never occurred to me.
Good old Southwest Airlines allows 2 free checked bags per ticket. A “checked bag” is limited to 62 inches(length + width + height). It doesn’t have to be a traditional suitcase(mind blown!). If you add up the dimensions of a 20 gal tote, it’s under 62 inches. Our family of four flew as close as we could to our daughter’s college town on Southwest. So that’s 8 pieces of luggage. We did four 20 gal. totes. and a couple suitcases. We used ratchet straps to keep the tubs closed during flight. I taped her new address to the outside in case they got lost by the airline. We had to rent a minivan at the other end(possible Southwest airlines “hack”…renting the minivan via the Southwest website was HALF the price of any car-rental search-engine). I only mailed one box, and we went to BB and Beyond and Target when we were down there.
So go buy some tubs on sale if you are puzzled by how to get your students stuff across the USA! This saved us 28 hours in the car, to me that is priceless!
I should also add that the clear plastic-y ones would crack and break when handled by the airlines. So you’d need to get the opaque ones that are “tougher” plastic.
Bought 6 large ones and 6 small ones last night online …. and picked them up at my local Target store today! Sweeeeeet! Many thanks!
Awesome! So glad you were able to get 12 at such a great price! You’re welcome!
Shopko has a 20 gallon for around $3 and an online deal of 15% with code STOREPICKUP if you order online and do store pick up. It end up being around $2.15.
I attempted to order the 20 gallon tubs. Target.com is showing a price of 7.99. I spoke with a young lady on Target Chat and she insist price is 7.99.
