I dont believe you can earn points if you use points. whenever I earn points. I dont use points to pay.
From my understanding of how it has been explained on the site, if the purchase requirement is an item amount (ex. – buy 2, get 1000 points), you can use points and still earn points. But if the purchase requirement is a dollar amount (i.e. – spend $2, get 1000 points) then you must spend that dollar amount to earn the points. Someone let me know if I got it wrong.
