Has anyone actually used this before? I have used a netti pot and was wondering if this had a vacuum in it. There have been times my sinuses were so clogged the water wouldn’t come out of the other nostril.

Yes, has a vacuum, does come with batteries. I used netti pot before & it didn’t come close to getting me as clear as ths does. Hope that helps.

I bit the bullet this spring & bought this system. For me it was worth the price, luckily also on sale at CVS. It’s a weird feeling at 1st but I no longer need to tilt head & although gross, I get to see the junk spring brings out of nose. I am sleeping much better now and anyone in NC knows how bad allergies have been this yr, so this was a blessing.

SO happy this has been working well for you Leslie! Thanks a bunch for sharing your experience with us! I should grab one for my daughter! Her allergies are terrible this time of year!

Use distilled/sterile/boiled water, not tap. People have gotten serious infections (brain-eating amoebas, anyone?) using tap water with nasal irrigation devices.

    • Leslie

Happened with this device? I boil bottled water, if it’s good enough to drink, it’s good enough for my nose. I’ve never had issues & I used it everyday during spring.

      • 50ShadesofLipstick

Ok but it has happened w/ neti pots in the past and this device obviously works in a similar way…feel free to look up the news stories regarding this. Boiled or bottled water is fine as I just said- it’s tap water that shouldn’t be used.

My 16 y/o son was MISERABLE with allergies this spring and was not getting any relief from allergy medications. He was going through so many boxes of tissues and his constant nose blowing was driving me crazy. He couldn’t sleep at night and he couldn’t taste anything he ate. I broke down and paid full price at CVS. I thought my son would refuse to use it but he was so desperate for relief that he was eager to try anything. It has been AMAZING (a little gross also). The first few days he used it 3 or 4 times a day. Then he would do it right before he left for school and right before he went to bed. Once you get the hang of it then it is really fast and not messy at all. You do have to use the salt pods that are made specifically for the navage. If taking advantage of the 40% offer I would go ahead and buy a few refills as well.

This item expired NINE MONTHS AGO! Why do you still publish it? It’s just a big waste of my time.
