Build-A-Bear Workshop Pay Your Age Day: Just Pay Your Age for ANY Furry Friend (July 12th Only)
First-Ever Pay Your Age Day = BIG Savings! 🎉🐻
On Thursday, July 12th only, head into Build-A-Bear Workshop where Bonus Club members (free to join) can enjoy a Pay Your Age Promotion – just pick out any Make-Your-Own furry friend that is in stock at your store and pay just the price of your kiddo’s age (minimum $1)!
To score this HOT offer, you must be a Bonus Club Member so sign up now so you are ready to save on July 12th! Note that you must be 18 years old or older to sign up but your children under 18 are not required to sign up for the Bonus Club. They only need to accompany a Bonus Club Member.
What happens if you come with lots of kiddos?
As long as you are a Bonus Club Member, you may pay the age of any and all children who are with you in the store. There is a limit of one furry friend per guest who is present in the store on July 12th.
How exactly does this promo work?
As an example, if you take your 5-year-old into the store on July 12th, you’ll pay only $5 for their Furry Friend. How cool is that?!
What if your age is higher than the price of the furry friend you want to purchase?
On July 12th, no in-store guest will be a day over 29 years old—meaning that no matter your age, you will pay no more than $29 (plus tax) for any furry friend in stock in the store.
You can purchase a furry friend unstuffed and come back to stuff it later!
Yes, you can pay your age for an unstuffed furry friend on July 12th and come back to have the full Build-A-Bear Workshop experience at a later date. However, Pokémon plush may not be purchased unstuffed.
No vouchers or rainchecks will be given so shop early for the best selection! And keep in mind that outfits and accessories are sold separately.
What a shame! There’s no store nearby while I have two seven month old babies.
Bummer!
My kids are too old now. I need to borrow a 1yr old. Haha jk.
This sounds so great but can u imagine the lines?
That’s what I’m worried about…
What if you come with 2 kids? Does it still work then? I’d love to go but I could see it being crazy busy too 🙈
Yes! Just be sure you are signed up as a Bonus Club Member!
Never been to it before. Wonder what should be a good price to build a bear? So that I can decide if I should bring my kid in. Thanks
You’ll never get a lower price than this. The one time we went we dropped $45 on 2 animals, plus another $30 on clothes & accessories. That’s where they get you. It’s hard to walk in there & just get the animal when there are all these cute clothes & everything all around.
I only have one experience… I bought unstuffed online when they had a sale ($10 a full sized animal). We took them in with the kiddos to get them stuffed. They have a cute little rhyme, they get to up a little padded heart in, and get a birth certificate. Since I didn’t let my children wander the store we didn’t get pushed into any upgrades. My kiddos love their animals (it’s been a year and they still drag them everywhere). My kids are 2, 4, and 6 and I’d pay the $30 again but fear what the price would be if I actually took them in store expecting to pay $12. Lol
How do you show that you are a Bonus Club Member? I signed up, but haven’t received an e-mail yet.
Hi there! It looks like you can give them the email address Or phone number associated with your account. You can always call your location to be certain. Here is what I found listed on their Facebook page – “At check out we’ll ask to confirm the phone number associated with your bonus club account.” Hope this helps!
Great, thank you!
You’re welcome!
I just signed up the club but they didn’t ask for the phone number. Only email?
You can add your phone number under you customer information, I think it said address and then phone number. I just did.
I just did this too now..
When I signed up via the link you posted, it never asked me for my phone number. Only email address. I went into my account and still don’t even see a place to enter my phone number.
It appears you can add your phone number when you head to your customer information when in your account. Hope this helps!
I think this sounds like a great deal and part of me would love to take my 5 year old son, but I just worry in the end it might be a negative situation given lines and rudeness of people. I really want to take him but think I’ll pass. Hopefully people report back on how the day goes.
I would love if feedback on this event could be posted here. If this is offered in the future I’d consider taking my little guy depending on what others say.
Maybe bring snacks, a card game, or a tablet if there’s a wait. You can buy too and stuff it when it’s not so busy.
This is a great deal, but I’m just not sure it’s worth the extra time and craziness. Has anyone been to a similar sale there before? Is it a madhouse?
Great – I am having my daughters birthday party there on Saturday, I hope they restock!
I have been waiting for a chance to take my two little girls, ages 4 and 2 to Build-A-Bear. They both absolutely love “plushies” but money is tight and I didn’t think we could afford it. Thank you so much Hip2Save,this is when we are definitely not going to miss!
So, I sent the link to my 29 year old daughter, thinking she could take her 14 month old son. Her text back to me was, “Mom, I’m old now. This would not be helpful”! I had to inform her that I was not talking about her, but for her son! LOL 😂
LOL 🙂
lol
🤣
I was wondering if anyone knew… if my husband and I both have accounts and only 1 daughter can we both make her a bear?
Am I the only one who will respond to this. 🙄🙄🙄 why would you do that when 1 should by all accounts be enough?
why can’t they both make their daughter a bear? there’s nothing wrong with having 2 stuffed friends…. one from mommy and one from daddy!
When you read the FAQ’s about this promotion, it says 1 furry friend per guest present, so I am thinking they want to limit it to 1 per child.
The rules state one per guest, so they aren’t going to give her two in one transaction even if you have two accounts. I guess if you take her through the line twice you could get two. It seems kind of excessive, though.
If I buy unstuffed one and go back later to stuff it, any idea how much it costs to do stuffing?
Stuffing is free.
It’s free!
Might be a stupid question, but do you have to bring birth certificates for your kids? I can’t imagine how else they would know what age the kiddos are.
they don’t need proof
Anyone know what “exclusions apply” as stated in the original email.
Hi there! Here is what I find listed on the offer exclusions – “Exact product assortment varies slightly by store location; however, this offer is valid on any Make-Your-Own furry friend that is in stock in the Workshop on July 12.” You can always call in to your store for additional details on how they will honor the promotion. Hope that helps!
I think I’ll let my daughter choose an unstuffed one and come back later to stuff it. That was she can actually have fun watching “her” animal get stuffed.
My 3 yr old has not been and would love this!! So hoping I can take her! She loves her stuffed animals. Our mall is usually quiet during the week. Am thinking I went early, like for when it opened I wouldn’t hit a long line.
Thank you Amy that is exactly what we wanted to do. We wanted to give her one for her Birthday in November from Daddy and one for Christmas from Mommy. I didn’t know i was going to get a rude response from someone for asking a simple question. Some people have 5 plus kids, I don’t so i don’t see why, if we are buying them still, 2 bears would be so bad.
Except to get the deep discount, your daughter has to be present in the store…don’t know if you want her to be aware of her presents in advance. You and your husband can each make a bear separately on your different accounts, but you’ll have to pay the price of YOUR age, up to a max of $29. The fuzzy friends are regularly priced at $25-30 anyway, so I don’t think it would be worth going in on this day if you’re trying to surprise her. The lines can get crazy on just normal days…
Exactly. It’s really simple- your child has to be present to get the promotional price and it’s clearly one per guest, so how are you going to try to find a loophole to get your child 2 bears? By trying to get in line twice and making other families wait on you, even though you got one already? People w/ more than 1 child are still only going to get one per child…why should you get 2 for your 1 child?
I just dropped a bunch of money there. Wish this promo came last month!!
so excited for this!
