This very cheap for a printer, but you might as well throw it away when it runs out of ink. More expensive for new ink than the cost of a new printer….
A new printer has very little ink in the cartridges that come with the printer, though. It’s not worth land-filling the printer.
I have had this printer for a while and I absolutely hate it. It constantly looses communication with my computer.
Was yours a WiFi printer, or a regular printer? This one is a regular one, where you must have a cord connecting your computer to the printer.
I have this printer, and I really like it. Very easy to use. I wish it was better with the ink usage, but It’s good enough when i set most things to “draft”, and also “grayscale” when I don’t need color. I did buy some “refurbished” ink cartridges pretty cheap and they worked just as well. Most printers aren’t great with ink usage………because the whole point is that they want you to buy the expensive ink. Works great as a scanner/copier, too. I haven’t printed photos on photo paper, so I can’t comment on the quality of those. I recently replaced this printer with the exact same one……………my last one stopped working only because I had dropped it a few times, LOL
I’ve owned both Canon Pixma and HP Envy printers for my home office. The Pixma was best for general printing (though you definitely get what you pay for with that one–hello regular jams and leaky ink cartridges, must install ink to use scanner, no ink included, no USB cable, etc.) and the HP Envy is best for photo quality printing (also accepts XL), esp. on photo paper.
We sure do appreciate you sharing your feedback, Heidi! Thanks for sharing your experience with both!
I bought this when it was basically a 2 for one deal which I think was 2 for 25/30$ which gave me backup ink. The ink that came originally with the printer lasted longer than the replacement inks I bought at Walmart for around $20 each. The ink runs out very very quick and at the price of it you may as well just buy a new one. Other than that the printer has worked fine, prints easily and the scanner and copier works great. I’ve never had an issue besides ink.
Garbage. do not buy.
I have a closet full of these printers since I ended up buying them for ink. No more. Switched to a Brother printer and so much better.
It is a WiFi one, but the connection it looses is via cable to my desktop computer
