Do NOT buy a Samsung washer and/or dryer. They are crap. We didn’t get that memo 4 years ago when we bought our very expensive set and we just replaced our washer due to it not working properly. We have now heard of everyone’s horror stories dealing with Samsung. They delivery guy said he replaced about 1500 Samsung washers last year alone. They’re not worth it.

We replaced a refrigerator in June and went to a very reputable family owned store (not big box). We are on year 8 of our washer and dryer and was told to completely avoid anything/any appliance that was Samsung or Frigidaire. They stopped carrying both brands because they were crap. He said the only exception for Samsung is TVs, avoid everything else.

        What brands did they recommend?

I completely agree you with 100%. My Samsung washer is less than two years old and it sounds like it is ready to explode. I have holes in all my clothes because of this washer. They replaced the drum during the warranty period but it did not fix the issues. I’m stuck until I can replace it. I would never recommend Samsung.

My Samsung washer continues to leave soap stains on my work clothes? Any suggestions? Or is just the washer

I have this washer and I dont like it.
My husband bought it because its big and we have 10 people in our family. So I have a lot of laundry.
well you cant do big loads they dont come clean. So whats the point. I am now doing small loads.
I honestly prefer a top load with agitator.

oh and the top washer you can only do like 3 things maybe 4 depending on what it is and even still not a good cleaning. Not happy at all and these are expensive washers. Oh i paid a lot more by the way.

Whirlpool is one of the highly recommended this is coming from someone who does service work on small appliances. Whirlpools are cheaper if parts break, they are assembled in America (so a plus there). Also I will tell you, just because it’s a bigger drum to hold more clothes. That means nothing unless the motor is bigger as well. Some of these companies put bigger drums and keep the same small motor as they use on cheaper models. Just to save a buck themselves. Hope I helped 🙂

OH NO!! This was the brand I was thinking of getting!!! Does anyone have a good recommendation?!

Speed Queen. 7 year warranty and 25 year life expectancy. We love ours. Cleanest clothes we have ever had.

I’ve heard/read good things about Speed Queen. Definitely not Maytag. Had ours for 3 years when the “computer” thingy went out on it. Naturally was NOT under warranty. I called the company and their response, “nothing lasts forever.” I wasn’t expecting “forever,” but 10 years would have been acceptable. The computer thingy cost us over $200. We are not a large family either and certainly don’t do laundry every day. Never again Maytag.

      Maytag for sure

Be careful of buying Samsung and LG. Check your area for service repair shops before you buy. I mean actually call the ones listed and ask specifically about your address. I didn’t and live in the “dead zone”. No one will service these machines in my area- except for 1 company that is an hour and a half away. And it took 4 weeks to service it. I wish I would have checked first, I never would have bought it if I’d known I’d be stuck with a repair company with a D- score at the better business bureau 😕

I have had a Samsung washer and dryer for many years and I love it. Not the set pictured, but a more basic set. I have not had any problems with it.

Me to have the Samsung washer. It works good and washed the clothes neatly. I bought it in Black Friday sale with 50% off. I received this coupon from Dealhack coupon website. This is a really nice website.

We have a samsung washer and dryer too. Worst mistake we ever did. Sooooo many repairs on the dryer. Constant repair of the heating element. DONT WASTE YOUR $$

Thanks for the reviews. We have a 13 y/o Bosch w/d, and the washer started leaking months ago ( I just put a rug around the washer), so we are looking for a new washer, as we don’t think it’ll last much longer. But for some reason, it stopped leaking. The rug is still around the washer, and it’s now always dry. We also have an 8 month old Samsung fridge, but so far, so good.
