Can you even take a 29” suitcase on an airplane without paying extra fees? Internationally I think it is even worse.
Not sure about internationally but I just checked my big 29″ for a week long trip to California. Flew Delta. The only problem I consistently have when checking it is that I always fill it up so it ends up over the 50lb limit and I have to take stuff out… otherwise you pay $100 fee.
I think it really depends on how you pack. My mom lives in oversea and she visits me like every year. She did not have any problem with 29″ suitcase before. But she can check two suitcases (50 lb limit for each) when she fly internationally. She has Samsonite too, just different style.
