Kind of off topic but does anyone own a Kirby. We had a salesman do a demo and my husband was sold. I had to be the bad guy and say no. Are they really as amazing as they seem to be?
Yes and no. Kirbys are a good product. Not necessarily knocking them. But, as someone who cleans houses for a living, the shark is my favorite… and I have used all kinds… shark, dyson, Kirby, Miele, Hoover, etc. The shark works well, has excellent suction, is easy to use, lightweight, and straightforward.
I got one of these and love it!! I even got my MIL to get one and she’s in love too. Highly recommend!
Oh cool! I have been a big fan of the Shark brand for a while now. Glad you and your Mother In Law have both been loving this one! Thanks a ton for your review!
I have this one and dislike it. I bought it hoping to replace my old Dyson that is heavy and bulky. This Shark doesn’t have the suction power needed to pick up all of the dirt/pebbles in the crevices of my Water Hog rug, and the Shark needs to go directly over the dirt to pick it up so it’s horrible along edges. It is easy to use and light enough to make cleaning stairs easy. Good Housekeeping just released their lab results where Shark didn’t make their list but Miele and Dyson were the top 2 (but obviously more pricey than Shark).
We sure appreciate you sharing this with us, Jen. I’m sorry it’ didn’t work out for you.
