Go with the sprocket. Target does amazing deals on the photo paper and you can stock up several times a year for $5 a pack

I got my daughter the hp sprocket second edition which is the latest version. I watched a unboxing video on YouTube first and thought it was really neat. Maybe you can look both up on YouTube and compare which one has the best features. I got the paper on sale at Best Buy for 4.99 it’s not on sale currently but I’ll keep checking and stock up
The HP is on sale at Costco.com right now for $90 and you get 40 sheets of paper with free shipping. I’ve been looking for a portable photo printer for birthday parties and went with the HP as this was the best price I’ve seen.

The photo quality on the sprocket isn’t the greatest but it’s convenient and gets the job done. I found my sprocket brand new on EBay for about $40. Getting the printing paper isn’t difficult because Amazon has it and it’s available for subscribe and save. Figure out what is most important when buying these printers. If it’s picture quality once printed then Sprocket may not be for you. Maybe this printer on sale is a better fit. Just wanted to give a little feedback since I see you all mentioning and asking about the sprocket.
I’ve been looking at the Canon Selphie at a similar price point. It’s not as compact but the reviews are positive for picture quality.
I’ve been looking at the cannon selphy too – has great reviews & can print multiple picture sizes! I’ve not found one for less than $100 tho.
