Has anyone ever used this? I am always so tempted but wonder how good it actually is !!!
I have one. It’s very easy to use and maintain. We used the herb seed pack. I’m 50/50 on using the system for herbs. If you use the herbs only go for one type. There may be like six holes for pots but your basil will overtake all the others. The basil will also grow well taller than the unit so be prepared to have to do weekly pruning and trimming..and it’s not just clipping leaves as you need it. You need to cut the stalk all the time. Using it now for lettuce and so far it’s a much better choice. I’ll never attempt to grow anything in it again that will grow taller then say 8 inches.
I agree with Jenn, it’s very easy to use, especially if you don’t gave anything close to a green thumb. I would also stick with just one type of vegetable or herb, as I found the largest plant definitely crowds all of the others.
We have the aerogarden smaller one. Our herbs took off. So fun to cook with them!
I love my Aerogarden! I had mine since January. I use mine for lettuce, mint, basil & dill. The dill needs trimed weekly as it grows very tall. For the basil I just pick off the leaves I want. We went away on a weeks vacation; I made sure to reset the water level and give e the plants a weekly capful of liquid food. Perfect plants when we returned. Easy Peasy! I love having fresh lettuce for salads.
That’s awesome to hear, Candym! Thanks a ton for sharing your experience with us! Good to know how successful your indoor garden has been!
I have one and I love it, but I’m curious if anyone else’s electric bill went up significantly with?
