Trader Joe’s Vegan Marshmallows are Perfect for S’mores
Ready for s’mores?
Head to Trader Joe’s where Vegan Marshmallows have hit store shelves and are priced at just $2.99!
These yummy marshmallows are totally plant-based meaning you won’t find gelatin as one of their main ingredients.
If you’re craving s’mores this summer, these marshmallows pair perfectly with Trader Joe’s Vegan Dark Chocolate and Nabisco Grahams which are also vegan. YUM!
Check out what Hip reader, Cate, told us about these…
I found these last summer and fell in love with marshmallows all over again after they were absent from my diet for 30 years.
Try this summer treat available at Trader Joe’s!
(Thanks, Cate!)
Thank you for alerting us! My daughter and I are vegetarians and love these so I’ll have to swing by the store this week!!
You’re so welcome, Juliette! Happy shopping! 🙂
I didn’t know they had these! We pay much more anytime we’ve wanted Smores. Good to know. Thanks!
You’re very welcome, Crystal!
We have been buying these for several years for my niece who is vegan. She loves them!
Yay! SO glad to hear that, Rosa!
And they’re vegan !! And not chalky like regular marshmallows, I killed half a bag in one sitting last night
Thank you for sharing ! That was going to be my question, in comparison to regular ones 🙂 going to pick up a few bags this weekend !
We love these! They had them last year too!
They have carrageenan in them though 🙁
Why don’t you like carrageenan?
They say it causes cancer. It’s in a lot of flavored coffee creamers too.
Carageenen can cause inflammation and digestive problems. I was having really bad ongoing stomach problems, and long story short, carageenen was the culprit. Once I cut foods out of my diet that contained it, my stomach problems went away.
FYI – these are made by Dandies Marshmallows – but TJ’s is HALF the cost – and they taste uh-may-zing! They have a wonderful homemade vanilla flavor without any of the chemical taste you get from JetPuff. They do take a little longer to melt (keep the heat low!) but are worth the extra effort! We get compliments every year for our treats when we bring them to our son’s little league games.
So I can make rice crispy treats with these?
We found through firsthand experience that these were terrible for s’mores! They don’t melt to the same gooey-ness of real marshmallows. My kid was greatly disappointed.
