Do you have suggestions for an inexpensive, decent one? Thanks!
I need to buy a laptop for mg son.
What is a good laptop for a college freshman? What do I need to look for?
depends, video editing/coding needs or basic needs such as documents, browsing, yt?
The college should have their recommended/required laptop specs on their website for accepted students. Look for HP or Dell deals at Amazon.
I am not seeing the 120off coupon to clip ? I followed the directions you posted
Same here.
I did it…the student $120 clipping is at the bottom when u check out and click apply
I followed the post it worked
it’s only taking $120 off the original for me, it’s saying the price is $279 =(
Me too 🙁
Darn! It’s doing the same for me now, too, Ker. Thanks for letting us know, I’ve updated the post!
Not dropping price to $199, only takes it to $279. I am already enrolled in the student deals and the coupon was there but it doesn’t take the $$ off the same as shown above.
It worked for me, thanks!
Awesome Jc! Glad you could snag it!
Only wants to take the 120 off the original 399 – 120 = 279 is what I’m also stuck with!? Has there been a final check out before saying this works?
Looks like it’s now taking the discount off the full price, djk. I’ve updated the post!
Life Happens… just stay on top of things and let up know when we can get a decent laptop for close to $200 and you know we’ll be there! 🙂
It removes the sale price when I apply the $120 code so it brings it back up close to $300. Oh well…no deal for me.
Do the online chat and you will get the $199 deal. They place the order & send you a private link for entering payment. It was easy, and now my son can go off to college with a brand new laptop!
I tried, no go 🙁
I talked online chat person and they able to order for me with discount code $120 and price lowered to $199
Oh great! SO glad they were able to help!
I cannot find a link to do online chat anywhere on the Best Buy website. Help?
Hi there! On my laptop, when clicking through the link above, I find a small blue tab to the right of the page that lists “Help?”. When you click on that you will find a chat option to select. Hope that helps!
I found it and the person gave me the deal for $199.99
What did you say to them. It was a no go for me 🙁
Anyone have this laptop? Looking for something for music, movies, photos, school and shopping…will this work?
Be wary of their website. I tried to purchase a computer from them, the price was different from the advertised price. Got that fixed and ordered. Charged my credit card and 24 days later, no computer. I placed over 10 phone calls before I finally got my money back. The whole experience was horrible.
