Check out how much Hip2Savers LOVE these bags…

Love these backpacks! They are good for 2-3 years of use! At this price, I had to get another.

My son has had his since K he’s going into 3rd, it’s in fantastic shape. He will be using this one for a long time!

We have used Lands’ End for our kids since kindergarten and we would recommend the medium to the large size. We live in the northeast and with snow clothes and a lunchbox and all the other stuff that goes back and forth we have never found a backpack to be “too big”, but I think it depends on what area of the country you are in and if the child brings a lunch box, etc.

These are great backpacks. My son used the medium one for Kindergarten and first grade. We have had the backpack for five years and now use it for sleepovers. It’s still in great condition!

Thanks! I needed to replace a couple lunch boxes and these are great with the pouch for their drink container on the side!

    • Amber (Hip Sidekick)

    • Alaina

Thanks for mentioning the pouch for a drink. I didn’t realize they had this. So I just ordered my three boys these because of this. The lunch pouches we have don’t. This is going to be fantastic. H2S is saving me so much. Got backpacks last week for under $10

Does this work on tote bags? My son can’t have a zippered bag in preschool.

    • Aw

If your a fan of thirty one bags they are having a huge online sale right now. I know they carry a lot of totes.

      • Anz

What is 31 bags ? I couldn’t find it online

  8. Drea

Does Lands End still have a lifetime warranty on their backpacks and lunch boxes?

    • Cassandra (Hip Sidekick)

Hi Drea! It looks like Lands’ End ended that policy sometime last year as far as I can tell. However, you are able to return any item, for any reason, regardless of how long you’ve had it (even monogrammed items) for a refund or exchange. You can check out their return/exchange policy here. Hope that helps!

Thanks for sharing- my daughter was SO happy to be able to choose her own lunchbox for first grade- for $4.85 Mom is happy too lol

Are the lunchboxes with the water bottle pouch, a good size? I’m getting mixed reviews on the size of it. I just need it for my 2.5 year old. TIA

    • Jessica

I received mine in the mail yesterday and it’s gigantic. I don’t think a 2.5yr old would be able to carry it for sure.

  11. Mrs Y

Ordered 2 – one for the hubs and one for our granddaughter! TY!

    • Cassandra (Hip Sidekick)

      You’re so welcome, Mrs Y!

      • Amber (Hip Sidekick)

These pencil pouches are great for gift gifting. Add a little gift card and a pack of gum or some fun pencils and you are all set with a great usable gift. Also a great stocking stuffer and a way to spruce up the school supplies in the middle of the year.

Best lunchbags. Better than the Hanna Andersson one IMHO. Lands End has 2 zipper handles around the main compartment, so it’s much easier to open just the top, or just one side, to sneak in a forgotten spoon, etc. Washes up amazingly, either via a Windex wipeout, or in the laundry (have been air drying overnight to avoid dryer roast). Zero complaints. I have picked them up as low as under $3 (off-season) and been giving them as gifts. The outside zipper is nice for a separate snack or napkins so they stay dry no matter what.
