I bought this hat because I work in NYC close to the water. When it rains, my umbrella turns inside out, which does me no good. So, I wear this hat instead to keep my hair dry. It works just fine and with the chin strap, it doesn’t blow off! I can fold it nicely in my backpack. I love it!
I wore this on vacation to the beach. It’s wide brim protected my neck, shoulders and face from sunburn. The hat was able to get wet and quickly dry; easy to wash and go. The hat has a ponytail accommodation built into the back; and is easily adjustable with a tie that is not just decorative but also functional. The removable cord is another great feature keeping the hat securely in place on windy days and for boat rides. I would absolutely purchase this again.
I just received the navy blue and the white. I have a slightly larger than average hat size and these fit beautifully. The bow can make the hat tighter and it has a slit for a ponytail but I bought it for the flap that protects your hair from the sun. The navy blue is a bright beautiful blue… great accent if you have blue eyes. I have purchased a similar hat before but it tends to look like an old guy’s fishing hat; these are actually attractive.
