  We just bought a Vizio 40” from Best Buy last night and returned it today. What a piece of junk. It was a 4K and the picture looked so washed out. The Tv kept freezing. You get what you pay for and in my opinion vizio is a crap brand.

  I will never buy a Vizio again! I bought a 70” from Costco 3 years ago and thank goodness for an extended warranty because a year ago my tv started getting 3 dark spots. I got it replaced with the warranty and they let me keep the bad tv (so now I have 2) and now the replacement has issues as well.

   I agree with positive reviews on Vizios. Mine is several years old now with no problems. It is a 39″ so one of the “smaller” models and not a SMART tv and not 4k. 4k didn’t even exist back then. But it works just fine and I can’t find a good enough reason to justify replacing it though I do look occasionally.

   Do not buy the TCL. We have that same tv and the “smart” part of it has never worked. We actually had to go out and buy a Roku. We have also had issues with it turning itself off.
