I bought these gates to go across every bedroom doorway since those were the only carpeted areas in my house when I first got my dog. She had separation anxiety and would try to dig through closed doors. Being able to see into the empty rooms settled her down. Just leaving the doors open was not an option since she treated carpet as grass. She finally got past that thank goodness!
