What is a Walgreens Booster Coupon?

Be sure to check your Walgreens coupons for Booster coupons. Some accounts have one that offers $20 in Walgreens Cash when you spend $40, $10 when you spend $25, $5 when you spend $15, or $10 in Walgreens Cash when you spend $1. Keep in mind you’ll need to clip the coupon BEFORE shopping to take advantage of these savings, and these offers can vary by account.

If you’re not receiving the weekly booster coupons, be sure to check your emails from Walgreens. I often have the booster in an email, but it does not show on my account until I click through the email!

Our Best Tips & Tricks When Shopping at Walgreens:

If you’re placing multiple orders this week, try to place the first order to score Walgreens Cash Rewards or Register Rewards, then use those rewards on another order to lower the cost of your second transaction and score some freebies!

Walgreens Cash Rewards can be used in increments of $1, $2, $3, $4, $5, $10, $20, and $50.

You can easily save Walgreens digital coupons to your account by clipping the coupon right on the product page of the item. Plus, if you forget to clip a coupon, Walgreens makes it easy and tells you one is available right next to the product at checkout. Walgreens’ digital coupon offers can vary widely by user, so your values may be a little different.

Keep in mind that there’s a $10 minimum pickup order BEFORE Walgreens digital coupons are applied.

Hip Tip from Collin: Having issues placing an order online? Try the Walgreens app! We often have an easier time navigating the app for placing orders. Plus, if you place an order and parts of your order are canceled, they’ll still honor the sale prices on whatever is fulfilled.

You may be able to use these promo codes to save even more!

So what happens when you check out and the estimated cash rewards includes the $10 beauty, but then you’re not given the $10 rewards? I reached out to customer service and they told me i didn’t spend enough. I’m truly frustrated by this. I always check the cash rewards I’m going to get before checking out simply because I’m never sure if the coupons take away from the total minimum spend.

Tracey, here is how you know. At checkout the first line is the item cost. Underneath is the line “promos and coupons”. The promos and coupons is the amount that does NOT count towards meeting the required dollar cost because Walgreens gives you that amount of money as a discount. If you spend Walgreens cash to pay that also doesn’t count because Walgreens gives you that as well. Never rely on the estimated Walgreens cash—instead figure it yourself and be ready to explain to customer support how you arrived at your figure. Here is the formula—Item cost minus “promos and coupons” minus Walgreens Cash spent to pay = the amount Walgreen’s will calculate you have spent. The line “manufacturer’s coupons” DOES count because Walgreens receives that from the manufacturer. Now go back over your transaction and see if you did spend the dollar amount. If so call back and use the framework above to explain how you did spend the required amount. If not return the items and using the above framework try again. Sending my very best wishes for a better experience.

Thanks so much for your detailed response. It sure can be confusing when checking all variables at checkout!

Walgreens cashier and customer service doesn’t help no matter how much to explain. They flat out don’t care to help. If you don’t get your rewards they’re like “that’s not my business and it’s not affecting my paycheck. Your problem bc it’s not like I’m getting the reward” kind of attitude. I hope they close their stores bc lack of CS shouldn’t be open for business

I have definitely been there with Walgreens and it’s even more frustrating when neither store associates nor customer service helps. I’ve had several orders in the past show me what my rewards would be and then I didn’t get the rewards after pickup. I simply returned the items. My last straw was when I ordered a shampoo/conditioner set and I was given 2 conditioners. I explained this to the store associate, showed her my order and showed her the shelf had the shampoos avaialble. She refused to swap and said I had to contact customer service. Did that and was told I’d have to return one conditioner, get whatever I paid after coupons and then pay full price for the shampoo because my coupons were already used. This was their own error and they refused to correct it. So now I take my money elsewhere and I do not regret it nor miss Walgreens’ hit-or-miss deals one bit. 🧘🏻‍♀️

Laura, That is an absolutely horrible experience. I don’t blame you one bit for being done. Customer service also failed you in not giving you adequate information on how returns work with the digital coupons. No you don’t get the coupon back but you do get what you paid plus the full value of the coupon. This can be verified in Walgreens coupon policy found in the online Help Center. Here it is copied and pasted.
        Returns
Returns for items purchased with a manufacturer’s coupon will be processed for the full price paid for the item, which includes the value of the coupon(s), using the original form of payment.
Coupons will not be given back upon return of the merchandise.
I am only commenting for the benefit of others who might need to return items and may think they will get only the out of pocket amount. When I return items I start off the conversation that I am expecting the value of the coupon to be returned as well as the amount I paid out of pocket. I send sympathy and my very best wishes.

        • Laura

This is actually very helpful. I only commented because I know first hand the frustration when something goes wrong. However, I do believe the customer service rep was incorrect with her information based on their return policy you listed. I had never tried a return to verify but now I know in the event that I ever do return and should need to return something. I hope it helps others too knowing their policy. Thank you so much.

Mine ends up $57.94 not $60 and I had to purchase the $8 Old spice because I was only allowed 1 of the $7 Old Spice per order. I only get $24.56 back. I ordered everything above other than substituted the $8 old spice because I was only allowed one $7 Old Spice.

    • Amber (Hip Sidekick)

Darn! I am able to grab the three Old Spice still. It may vary by location per the inventory available. Were you able to clip the P&G bath products offer? Thank you for sharing how it worked out for you!❤️

  3. Judy Trac

How much do we have to spend? $45? Can I use the code easter15 and still get rewards?

    • Amber (Hip Sidekick)

Hi there! I’m not finding EASTER15 to be a valid code right now. We do have all available offers noted above if helpful. You can still earn rewards when applying a code, just as long as you meet the individual rewards requirements for your purchase. If you have any issues, be sure to reach out to customer service. Hope that helps!
