What is a Walgreens Booster Coupon?

Be sure to check your Walgreens coupons for Booster coupons. Some accounts have one that offers $20 in Walgreens Cash when you spend $40, $10 when you spend $25, $5 when you spend $15, or $10 in Walgreens Cash when you spend $1. Keep in mind you’ll need to clip the coupon BEFORE shopping to take advantage of these savings, and these offers can vary by account.

If you’re not receiving the weekly booster coupons, be sure to check your emails from Walgreens. I often have the booster in an email, but it does not show on my account until I click through the email!

Our Best Tips & Tricks When Shopping at Walgreens:

If you’re placing multiple orders this week, try to place the first order to score Walgreens Cash Rewards or Register Rewards, then use those rewards on another order to lower the cost of your second transaction and score some freebies!

Walgreens Cash Rewards can be used in increments of $1, $2, $3, $4, $5, $10, $20, and $50.

You can easily save Walgreens digital coupons to your account by clipping the coupon right on the product page of the item. Plus, if you forget to clip a coupon, Walgreens makes it easy and tells you one is available right next to the product at checkout. Walgreens’ digital coupon offers can vary widely by user, so your values may be a little different.

Keep in mind that there’s a $10 minimum pickup order BEFORE Walgreens digital coupons are applied.

Hip Tip from Collin: Having issues placing an order online? Try the Walgreens app! We often have an easier time navigating the app for placing orders. Plus, if you place an order and parts of your order are canceled, they’ll still honor the sale prices on whatever is fulfilled.

You may be able to use these promo codes to save even more!

      You’re SO welcome, Amyr! 💖

Thanks, my store doesn’t carry NYX, but I had a $10/2 L’Oreal makeup and used 2 eyebrow pencils instead. Paid $11.43 and got back $10.43.

    • Jessica (Hip Sidekick)

You’re welcome Jan! Sounds like you scored some sweet savings on your L’Oreal items! Appreciate you sharing how you made the deal work for you!

So what happens when you check out and the estimated cash rewards includes the $10 beauty, but then you’re not given the $10 rewards? I reached out to customer service and they told me i didn’t spend enough. I’m truly frustrated by this. I always check the cash rewards I’m going to get before checking out simply because I’m never sure if the coupons take away from the total minimum spend.

Tracey, here is how you know. At checkout the first line is the item cost. Underneath is the line “promos and coupons”. The promos and coupons is the amount that does NOT count towards meeting the required dollar cost because Walgreens gives you that amount of money as a discount. If you spend Walgreens cash to pay that also doesn’t count because Walgreens gives you that as well. Never rely on the estimated Walgreens cash—instead figure it yourself and be ready to explain to customer support how you arrived at your figure. Here is the formula—Item cost minus “promos and coupons” minus Walgreens Cash spent to pay = the amount Walgreen’s will calculate you have spent. The line “manufacturer’s coupons” DOES count because Walgreens receives that from the manufacturer. Now go back over your transaction and see if you did spend the dollar amount. If so call back and use the framework above to explain how you did spend the required amount. If not return the items and using the above framework try again. Sending my very best wishes for a better experience.

Thanks so much for your detailed response. It sure can be confusing when checking all variables at checkout!

What is the $10 Register Rewards coupon? Is it a $10 coupon for another beauty purchase or is it a $10 coupon that can be used for any store merchandise?

    • Amber (Hip Sidekick)

The $10 Walgreens Cash can be used on your next Walgreens purchase. ❤️

If I understand correctly you want to do this deal in the store? Correct? If so yes you will get a printed register reward. I did not do this deal in the store myself so I am going by what others are posting so take my answer with a grain of salt. What prints is a Walgreens coupon good on beauty products rather than a storewide coupon. Since it acts like a Walgreens Monthly Saving coupon it would not count towards meeting a “spend deal” on your next purchase and most probably will not print out a second RR. The upside of doing this deal in the store is you don’t risk a cancellation. The downside of a pickup order is that while you get a more versatile Walgreen’s Cash reward on a very popular deal the risk of cancellation is very real. Be sure and indicate a lot of substitution choices if you do a pickup order. I sincerely apologize if I have misunderstood what you were asking. Sending my best.

    • Olive

I purchased this in store and received $10 toward a future beauty purchase.

      • Amber (Hip Sidekick)

Thanks for the update! Good to know!

  5. Ana

Some booster coupons are online only, so watch out for those, too.

    • Jessica (Hip Sidekick)

      Thanks for the tip, Ana!

  6. Nora-Lee Rodriguez

I don’t have the $8 L’oreal coupon :(, have to find something else to subsitute it for

    • Jessica (Hip Sidekick)

Oh bummer! I’m still seeing that one when looking now. You might try changing browsers, or checking in your savings or the app. Hopefully it might pop-up that way!

  7. Olive

Warning- I purchased this in store and did not receive rewards as rewards, instead I received $10 for a future P&G purchase, $10 only for beauty items, and $5 only for rest and oral B items. Not as advertised here at all.

    • Amber (Hip Sidekick)

Thanks for the update on how it worked out for you at your location, Olive. I wonder if it might vary when shopping in store. It has worked for us online as noted above. Hoping that helps and so sorry for any confusion. ❤️

Olive, I am so sorry you had a bad experience. Walgreens deals are not at all the same online or in the store or to put it another way deals do not transfer online to in/store or vice versa. Most usually in-store you will receive those paper coupons called register rewards. If you are looking for digital rewards or Walgreens Cash that is mostly online. Walgreens has two entirely different reward systems with different rules, the paper Register Rewards and the digital Walgreens Cash. The things that make Walgreens very frustrating are also the things that can make Walgreens the most lucrative place to coupon. Please don’t be discouraged. Take a look at Walgreens couponing policy that is in the Walgreens help center. Try googling “how to coupon at Walgreens” for guides. I sincerely wish you well and am rooting for you to get great Walgreens deals.
