I got the bigger advent calendar for my mom one year because being by herself she wouldn’t have to work her way through regular size jars of jam before opening a different flavor with these mini jars. : ) BUT I have to say she didn’t really use these because it was so difficult/impossible for her to open the tiny jars. They do actually take some heft behind them to open. It made my gift so miserable because she could see it but not enjoy it. She could open most pantry jars (pickles, jelly, vegetables etc) herself but these tiny jars were so challenging and frustrating.
