The cows are back, so it’s time to put those spotting skills to work! Through July 13th, play Spot the Cow in the Chick-fil-A app for a chance to score a FREE Medium Waffle Fries with your next order!

Didn’t spot the cow on your first try? Keep playing! You can try as many times as needed to win (while supplies last). Once you snag your reward, be sure to redeem it by July 13th.

💡 Hip Tip: If you don’t see the game yet, try updating your app first!

Then, on July 14th, Chick-fil-A is celebrating its 80th anniversary by bringing back Cow Appreciation Day!

Bring your whole herd in-restaurant dressed like cows to receive a free entrée with no purchase necessary! This offer runs from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m., so you could even score a free breakfast.

Kids 12 and under can also score a free entrée and kids prize while supplies last. Note that Cow Appreciation Day offers are available for dine-in, carry-out, or drive-thru orders only and cannot be redeemed through the app or delivery.

Choose from one of these freebies:

  • Breakfast: Original Chicken Biscuit or 4-Count Chick-n-Minis
  • Lunch/Dinner: Original or Spicy Chicken Sandwich, Original or Grilled 8-Count Nuggets, or 3-Count Chick-n-Strips
  • Kids: A free kids entrée and kids prize

Don’t have a cow costume on hand? Consider drawing black spots on a plain white tee and using eyeliner to add spots on your face. Plus, check out Chick-fil-A’s official cow merch here!

Can’t wait for cow day? Make these copycat chicken sandwiches at home!

Can you do this in the drive-through?

    • Jessica (Hip Sidekick)

Hi there! It looks like this promotion is only happening inside. Here’s the details – “Bring your whole herd in-restaurant on July 14 from 7:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. to help celebrate Cow Appreciation Day®.”

    • WB

If you click the Chick-fil-a link in the first paragraph, it says “To redeem, visit us in-person (dine in, carry-out, or drive thru only).”

      • Jessica (Hip Sidekick)

Thanks for pointing that out, WB! 🥰 It looks like Chick-fil-A has updated the details since we first shared this offer, and I do see that drive-thru is now included. I appreciate you taking the time to let us know!

  2. Vanessa Boyer

IT’S BACK! My kids literally grew up on this. I kept all the cow times just in case! Yay!

    • Jessica (Hip Sidekick)

Aww, what a special memory with your kiddos, Vanessa! 💕

  3. T

So as a family of 5, we can go in all dressed like cows and recieve a free meal? Like 5 free meals?

    • Jessica (Hip Sidekick)

Hi T! It sure looks that way! 🐄🤗 According to the offer details, every customer who dresses like a cow can receive one free entrée from the eligible menu items, while supplies last. So if all five of you dress up, each person should be able to snag a free entrée at participating locations.

  4. Diane

Do you get just the entree or a whole meal?

    • Jessica (Hip Sidekick)

Hi Diane! It appears to just be the entree. ❤️ Here’s the available entrees/freebies for Cow Appreciation Day:

Breakfast: Original Chicken Biscuit or 4-count Chick-n-Minis
Lunch/Dinner: Original or Spicy Chicken Sandwich, Original or Grilled 8-count Nuggets, or 3-count Chick-n-Strips
Kids: A free kids’ entrée and kids’ prize

  5. Penny

Did you download the Chick-fil-A “play” app or just the regular app (where you order food) to be able to play the game?

    • Jessica (Hip Sidekick)

Good question, Penny! This is in the regular Chick-Fil-A app. When I opened mine, the offer popped up right away to play the game. 🐄 Hope that helps!

      • Penny

Thank you, Jessica. I also had to follow your instructions above to delete the app and reinstall. That made the game pop up.

        • Jessica (Hip Sidekick)

You’re welcome! Glad that re-installing helped! 🙌 Enjoy your freebie! 🍟

  6. Tammi

Can you only play the game in app one time to get reward? I played yesterday and got waffle fries. Then played again today and said I had already claimed reward. I thought in year’s past you could play each day and score more rewards daily.

    • Amber (Hip Sidekick)

Good question, Tammi. It looks like this has a limit of one. Glad you could score the fries yesterday! Don’t forget, July 14th is Cow Appreciation Day! Just dress like a cow to receive a free entrée with no purchase necessary!🐮🤗

    • Jackie

I just came here to say the same thing! Previous years you could play every day and get different rewards like drinks, sandwiches , nuggets, cookies and ice cream. This year it’s only fries ☹️ Dont get wrong, I appreciate the free fries but wish we had the same rewards as previous years.

  7. Chris

Does your whole herd get a freebie or just one person? They’ll be slammed on 14th but for someone who can’t eat beef or pork this is a great offer for me.

    • Jessica (Hip Sidekick)

Hi Chris! It should be for each one that dresses up. Here’s what their site says – “Bring your whole herd in-restaurant on July 14 from 7:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. to help celebrate Cow Appreciation Day®. Every customer who dresses like a cow can receive one free entrée.” It does look to be valid at participating locations (though it does seem like many participate), but you might give yours a call before making a trip to be sure! ❤️

  8. Chris

Your app says I posted comment twice but I only did one as far as I can tell so app won’t post my text. I’ll use a different email cuz want U all to know I appreciate this post as I can’t eat beef or pork so this is a AAA offer for me! Tx.

    • Jessica (Hip Sidekick)

I’m only seeing your previous comment one time too, Chris. 💞 Sometimes if you hit the “post comment” button twice on accident, that can pop-up. It’s happened to me before too! 🙃 Glad this post is helpful! Enjoy your Chick-Fil-A!
