I used these on my Appalachian Trail thru-hike. I brought two of them with me to stake out the part of my tent that wasn’t free-standing and needed extra support. They lasted the whole trip without bending or breaking. I hammered them in with rocks when needed. They hold well in any ground condition. In areas where I had to camp on a slab, they were the perfect length to stick through my tent loops and pile rocks on. They never failed me. I would highly recommend them.

These stakes are perfect for holding larger tarps or tents that might pull out standard stakes. They work great on rocky ground and will hold quite a load in loose soil. I use them on a 14×12 tarp when storms are due. They have never let me down like the smaller, lighter 6″ stakes. They fit nicely in a gallon zip lock and are very robust. I’ve had to use a rock to put them in the ground in rocky soil, but they didn’t break. Great product at the right price.
