My wife threw away our old mandoline after I sliced a bit of my finger off some years ago (yeah, my fault). She refused to allow another one in the house without sufficient safety features. This one checked off what she was wanting, so we bought it. I’ve used it a handful of times and am very impressed with this mandoline. I’m glad I made this purchase. No more manually slicing while also not having to worry about any more of my fingers.

I have limited hand strength and mobility. This is great! I love that you don’t have to get close to the blades. The pusher is easy to manipulate. The actual spring-loaded push knob is so effortless. I like to garden, can and dehydrate. It’s a lot of cutting and chopping. This makes quick work of it and best of all – it is safe!!!! It is a little time-consuming to clean even with the brush. That’s the only drawback. But I really do love this. My food chopper/dicer takes too much strength to close. My old mandoline was downright dangerous even with the pusher guard. This Dash Safe Slice Mandoline is the best and it’s inexpensive.
