I’ve been riding a Peloton at the gym for the past year. They went out on recall and I was tired of waiting. I did a ton of research and ended up with this deal from Target. It is just as smooth as a peloton (especially the overused ones at the gym). I am thrilled with this purchase. It can rock/shake a little more and the max resistance isn’t as high as a peloton. However, I wasn’t about to pay for a Peloton + the outrageous monthly fee they charge to owners. I have the discounted Peloton app with the qz app to convert the resistance (need 2 devices) and that works perfectly!
This bike does all that you need it to at a fraction of the price of Peloton. It doesn’t come with a screen but that’s great if you have an iPad. The iPad will give you more freedom to choose which membership you want to use (ex: peloton mobile) or not use one at all. You can still track everything in the echelon free ride. Seat stays on fine but you really need to crank it down so it doesn’t rotate. And before you ride, link the bike in settings and you shouldn’t have any problems with disconnecting.
I love this thing! I tried utilizing the Echelon app and was not very impressed with the instructors and range of music. Did some research and found that I could download the QZ app through the Google Play store which converts the resistance from Echelon to Peloton so I can follow the Peloton classes on my tablet. For the price, this is the best option for a beginner spinner like myself. Definitely recommend!
