These fireproof and flame-retardant blankets are made to put out small fires immediately. They take up little space and are designed to hang on walls or cabinets. They would be a thoughtful gift, especially for new homeowners, or as an addition to a vehicle’s first aid kit!
Unfortunately, this person had a chance to test these blankets. Fortunately, it worked perfectly…
“I got this fire blanket a few months ago just for a “just in case” but never thinking that I would need it. Well – I’m just glad that I did. Yesterday, I had my first-hand experience with a stovetop fire in my pan due to just a couple of tablespoons of oil that burst into flames from a pan that I was using to pan fry some chicken. It was so unexpected. I knew where to go for this fire blanket and threw it over the pan. It instantly contained the fire into the pan and I just watched the fire slowly die down. It was one of the scariest moments of my life and I’m so thankful to have this fire blanket. Thank you. Thank you.”

They’re back to only 10%. Still worth it because I am privy to insurance claims and if people just had these they wouldn’t have to pay a fortune for cleaning up the fire extinguisher foam and having an insurance claim against them!
Thank you so much Lisa, I agree these are very nice to have on hand just in case! The post has been updated as well 🙂
My response is by paying insurance, we bet them we “will “ have a problem and the company is betting “us” we won’t have a problem. We pay them to take care of the claims, we may have. I have lived in my home 30+ years and finally had a claim. I expected, my insurance company to provide the coverage I paid for. They didn’t, I contacted my State Attorney General and State Insurance Commissioner and got results within 7 days.
Claim History or not, it depends on the insurance company.
