Plus, if you didn’t previously order a 4-pack earlier this fall when the program re-started on September 25, 2023, you may order up to 8 FREE at-home tests!
It is important to note that tests will begin being shipped the week of November 27, 2023.
Even if you did order the previous free at-home COVID test kits, every household in the U.S. is now eligible for this additional 4-pack! You may already have kits at home that had been previously requested. Don’t toss those in the garbage just yet. Now is a good time to check to see if the tests you have on hand are expired or if their expiration has been extended.

Good to have on hand. Thank you!
You’re very welcome! π€
it states tests may be expired but the FDA extended the dates… if anyone is wondering
Thanks so much for mentioning that, Ashley! I’ve updated the wording above to include that. π
LOL- itβs because they stated that they arenβt reliable anyway.
Not sure what “they” you follow, but antigen tests (the at home kind) are over 80% accurate in detecting Covid-19 infections. If you test negative and continue to have Covid-like symptoms, visit your health care provider for a PCR test.
Thank you!!!
You bet! β€οΈπ
Thanks for the reminder, I had totally forgotten.
You’re most welcome! Glad we could help! π
I can’t Are you able to order once per month like last time?
Sorry! That should say… Are you able to order once per month like last time?, that should say,

My Hip2Save app says tests are $1: theyβre free and u can just go to USPS.com every month until theyβre out of stock or decide not to offer anymore. They usually stop the free offer when Covid infection numbers fall in Spring.
So sorry for any confusion, Chris. I’m still seeing these listed as free both on the site on desktop and in the app on my phone. β€οΈ Maybe try refreshing or closing it out and then open back up again. Hope that helps!
Thank you for posting this! I tried to get some recently, but my insurance stopped covering them. This helps a lot… even though there are 5 of us in the household! lol.
You’re welcome, Molly! Glad this will help! π₯°

You’re welcome, Stacy P! Hoping your son feels better soon! π
Thank you! Just went and ordered mine π
GREAT! π You’re welcome, Penny!
Just received mine in Northern Virginia. With the extended expiration date accounted for, my kit is only valid for the next 3 months.
Ours too! Got them early Oct and they expired in March 2023. Wonder how long they are really good for? Guess I should have waited past the rush and I may have gotten some that would last longer. π€·π»ββοΈ
I ordered today and it worked !!
Glad you could grab your freebies, Mary. β€οΈ

You’re welcome, Carrie! Glad you could snag some for everyone! π₯°
It’s good to have some extras on hand. I still had some from past orders so grabbed that box first when I was feeling bad last week. The liquid must have partially evaporated or something so the required 4 drops didn’t come out. I did have some newer ones that our county gives out for free and that worked fine. (No Covid thank goodness; once was enough for me; it was awful. I did go to the doctor’s due to underlying conditions and their test showed no Covid as well – whew!)
Thanks for the heads up, H2S!
You’re so welcome, Tracey! I like to have some on hand too! Glad you could order more! β€οΈπ€
Awesome! Thank you so much for the reminder. According to my doctor friend, the tests are βjust enzymes and should work fine even if they are expired.β I donβt actually know what she means but maybe your readers will find this helpful.
You’re welcome, Elsie! Thank YOU for that information! π
Thank you
You bet!
