I’ve used similar packs to these and have had poor success (they’re not usually specifically suited for your growing area, which can really effect germination and plant success). If readers are looking for affordable garden seeds, a good place to check is the local library! Our library gives away hundreds (if not thousands) of seed packets each year! Community garden non-profits may also have free seeds to give away as well. Seed companies allow non-profits to purchase seeds in bulk for pennies on the dollar and in order for the non-profits to give away the seeds. Our library doesn’t require you to have a library card nor does it limit how many seeds you can take and we get high-quality, heirloom, open-pollinated varieties so you can seed save and continue to have free seeds!

Good to know, Leeann! Such a great tip about checking local libraries and community groups for free, high quality seeds. Really appreciate you passing these suggestions along. 🥰
