This won’t work for the 4 gift rule.

It’s small – nice stocking stuffer

So does the 4 gift rule not include stocking stuffers? I’m trying to understand how it works.

People do it differently. Some people that do the four gift rule, also include a stocking with small fun gifts for the kids.

You are free to make your own rules. I have always kept my kids stockings to little inexpensive items; candy, lip gloss, small toys, fun art supplies, a new toothbrush, small gift card, etc.

Ok, I just hear people talk about how great the 4 gift rule is and I’m thinking that not one single person actually sticks to 4 gifts. A candycane in the stocking is a gift but do people actually count it as one gift? My kids get, approximately 15 gifts, one between 50-100, maybe one around 30, and the rest less. Most are under 10. Many are things they need and are going to get anyway. It’s just more fun to wrap and have them open them. They get books, shoes, underwear, gloves, school supplies, bubble bath, this year some new masks for school etc…

These also make great gift exchanges and also great donations. What little boy doesnt like cars. You can get 10 cars for $5. That’s a nice $5 gift!!!

      Absolutely!
