Looking for suggestions to check out with your new Hulu subscription? Here’s what our team is currently watching…
Only Murders In The Building
It’s a fun show for anyone who loves true crime podcasts. The premise is that an unusual trio of neighbors – Steve Martin, Martin Short, and Selena Gomez – join together to solve murders in their apartment building and they make a podcast about it. — Hip Sidekick, Kara
It’s a Murder/mystery about a teen who goes missing on a family vacation. I think it’s a book, but I am now invested in this story and need to know what happens!
I also love the new show, Unprisoned, with Kerry Washington about how her dad is living with her after prison. It’s actually really cute and well done.
— Hip Sidekick, Lina
How I Met Your Father
HIMYM is one of my all-time favorites so I had to give this one a shot and I really like it! It is a little cheesier than the original, but, if you can get past that. it’s a super easy one. — Hip Sidekick, Alli
A Small Light
It’s a “history” show about the secretary who hid Anne Frank’s family and… oh my goodness it is SO good!! You don’t even feel like you’re watching something about history. It is so well done! — Hip Sidekick, Alli
Be careful, have a Hulu subscription & each time you login from a different location, your IP address is changed. You only get 4 changes then it locks & you can no longer change it back. This is to keep people from sharing accounts, which I get, but I travel for work & signed in to MY acct on 3 work trips, came home & was told that my acct is now locked so I’m unable to watch my Live local shows since I’m back. Thankfully my subscription was going to need to be paid on June 1, so I cxld & will look at another service. If anyone knows a way around this or has had better luck, I’m listening. I’m fairly new to streaming but this really turned me off!
Thanks for the warning on how many times you can login from a different location before getting locked out! So sorry this happened to you. Hoping you might be able to reach out to customer service to see if they have a solution for you since you travel for work. 🤞 💕
Hi, are there any promotions for the ad free plans? Thank you 😊
Thanks for the request, Kay! We will be sure to keep our eyes peeled for any promotions that may pop up on the ad free plans! 👀 💗
I’m looking for a less expensive tv option other then basic cable or dish network. So I’m not into watching movies. I want my local abc, nbc and cbs for news and various tv shows. I need my football that is a must. Is there any reasonable options to hook up to my tv?
Hi there Hipkat! The basic Hulu subscription allows you to watch a variety of shows from local stations (available the next day), but adding Hulu Live will allow you to watch programs live, including select sporting events.
We compiled a list of the best streaming sites here which also includes an in-depth comparison chart at the bottom of the post. Hope this helps!
THANK YOU I will be looking into these options.
Thanks so much for this post!! Excited to get both so cheap! So you happen to know if at the end of the 3 months do I cancel with just Hulu or Disney+ too since I did the bundle?
