While bubble tea, also called “boba,” has become super popular in the last several years, it actually came onto the scene in Taiwan sometime in the 80s. It’s typically made from a combination of milk, tea, and sugar, and the “bubbles” in bubble tea are actually chewy tapioca pearls!
For a long time, boba enthusiasts have had to hunt down their favorite drink in specialty bubble tea shops–or make it themselves–due to a lack of supply in large retail stores. Now, Joyba is changing that by offering packaged bubble tea with no artificial flavors or sweeteners!.
