Who doesn’t love butter?

Whether it’s for baking or a topping, there’s nothing better than a little butter in our lives. If you agree, you may be excited to learn about these newly launched Land O Lake’s Butter Balls. Each pre-measured ball of butter is portioned perfectly at half a tablespoon making them great for cooking and topping your favorite foods.

If you make a fresh stack of pancakes, throw a butter ball on top! The same goes for greasing up a pan to make a grilled anything. The convenience alone is convincing us to hit the stores and consider buying this new release. This is actually the first time butter balls of any kind are being sold at a mainstream level. 🤯

Each 8 oz pack will retail for around $5 but this means you are paying a premium as a regular 8 oz box of butter sticks typically sells for around $3.99 or less. If you’re wondering where you can get your hands on some Land O Lake butter balls, check out Harris Teeter, Hy-Vee, Kroger, Lowes Food, Meijer, and Super Target stores in select regions of the country.

No way… my grocery bill is way too much as it is. I will mold the butter into balls by myself 😂

  2. bremoeller

Nope, I would not. There is no need for this in my opinion.

  3. Stella

Silly product, but then again, we are a society that demands instant gratification. This is a hard pass for me.

  4. jlenhart

Are you kidding? It’s too much bother to slice off a portion of butter from the larger stick? I worry about American society as a whole when I see these types of products. And we wonder why the rest of the world sees Americans as lazy. A whole pound (16oz) of LOL butter is just under $6 near me – so nearly twice the price! And what happens if you can’t maintain the temperature of the butter on the transport home? Pure ridiculousness. It’s safe to say I won’t be purchasing.

  5. Patricia Goff

No way. Bad time to put out a new product…………..

  6. Dee

If only my MIL had lived for this moment. She always had three kinds of butter on the table. Spray butter for corn, veggies, broccoli. Stick butter for melting on top of the potatoes. Spread butter for the bread and rolls. I’m sure she would’ve found a reason to buy these. 🙂

    • Lisa

I think these would be good to float into Crab Bisque soup. My DH always wants a pat of butter on the Bisque and this would be fancy. I also use Crescent Roll dough to form and bake bread bowls for soups – which are a big hit

I just check on my calendar to make sure it’s June not April 1st.

    • Ms. Frizzle

      LOL thats a good one!

    • Jessica (Hip Sidekick)

      LOL! 😂❤️

  8. SoCalLemon

Gonna be honest, as someone who struggles with a joint condition and can’t often use a knife, this is appealing. Would def buy if it was on sale comparable to regular butter. But for the average human, what an insane thing to pay more for…and no offense to anyone but the CEO – what a dumb thing to put on the market with all that’s going on in the world and economy tanking. lol.

  9. Jodi P

Cute for a wedding brunch…..if it’s not a butter blob by the time you get it home ,lol

    • Mei

I agree! These scream “SPECIAL OCCASION” to me (but I buy the butter turkey at Thanksgiving and the lamb at Easter). Definitely not for everyday use.

      • Jodi P

HA! We buy the turkey and lamb butters, too, lol But with the price of butter, now, I’m going to google up how to mold my own butter……looks like you can even use plastic candy molds for all kinds of fun butter shapes, as well as buy turkey and lamb molds.

Butter has become so precious, that it probably should be molded pretty for every meal, LOL

😂 LOL…no way! Land o lake is the only butter that I buy for my family. It is one of the most expensive butters out there and now they think they can get more money? Nope, nope AND NOPE. I love that butter and the only time when I purchase this butter is when it’s on sale because I just can’t justify nor afford the regular price so you can imagine how I feel about this one 👎🏼. No thank you , I will pass

Did you see this: “Look in the Target app (here) for a 50% off Land O Lakes Butter offer. Please note that this coupon does not appear on the product page, so you’ll need to add it from the offers page first. The fastest way to find this coupon is to sort the offers by discount”. I had this on my Target Circle and ordered for pickup. I was ready in an hour or so. I do a lot of baking, so I stocked up.

      • Jackie

I was just there today! Well, its a great excuse for another target run! Thank you so much. I was running low and you can’t beat this price ♥️♥️♥️♥️

  11. suzy

    yes love this idea!

  12. Huff

But it’s butter!! I love butter…. goes with everything… lol

I would buy it at least once!

  13. Robyn

We camp very often, so I always have a “camper stash” of smaller sized items in one corner of the home fridge. I could definitely see this for camping so if we’re at a non-water site to just grab some of these vs dirtying up a knife! However not for home, my grocery budget is taking a beating right now.

  14. queen62

Way overpriced for 8oz. $5 no way is this worth it. Can barely afford butter unless it’s on sale

  15. madonna

I’d wait for a sale or coupon before trying. I like the idea for holiday cooking or entertaining. For everyday, I wouldn’t spend that much extra.

  16. Tammy

    no way

  17. Tammy

on a side note — I have gotten the butter balls from my local scratch and dent grocery store where it comes out to about $3.00 a pound (they are still in date) — they are very nice as long as you don’t leave them out to get soft. However — I would never pay extra to get them

  18. Sarah L

I love this product! Its great for portion control! I will be able to monitor my calories. If you are watching your weight calories from things like butter really add up!

  19. Pat

No way, had to pay $2.50 for the 8 oz. Land O Lakes butter spread the other day, last time I bought it the price was less than $2. Every week everything goes up.

  20. Justina

I will surely coupon/deal/sale seek them out!
But no way full price!–And just for the holidays and events!
Cute! Just like the holiday butter shapes, was it a turkey and bunny and Christmas tree sculptures!

  21. Jude

The only reason I would buy them is if I had a large party, but then I could probably find the pads the restaurants have for less.

  22. No

Not a chance. We only eat real butter, as my husband calls it. A pound of butter is becoming a luxury and $10. a lb for butter balls! Not happening!!!!

  23. Susan

Guess I’m in the minority, but I will definitely consider buying them!

  24. **Lisa**

For special occasions… yes yes yes!

  25. renee-5

Would totally use these for special events.

  26. Becca

We struggle to get milk and eggs…. no extra laying around these days to splurge on butter balls😞

  27. BRAVE4

I love it these! Can’t believe it’s taken so long to reach consumer households! Great for portion control, measurements, and much better for presentation!

  28. Meg

    Yum – snack sized!

  29. Ms. Frizzle

I have been using butter so long that I can eye out half a Tbsp!!

  30. Jessica

I wouldn’t wanna pay the extra $ but these little things sure do intrigue me 🤣 maybe for a special occasion I would splurge but just for daily use it would probably be a no.

  31. Dgal

Absolutely a hard no!!! Totally ridiculous smh

  32. Briana

Good for portion control. I’d definitely buy it

  33. Sharina

Yes. I hate cleaning the measuring spoon after scooping out butter

  34. Laura

I wonder how we could make these…love the concept but not the price!

  35. Debbie

Would be nice for a special occasion. Showers, holidays……..

  36. Melissa T

Umm yes please! I love convenience!

  37. Vmcclusky

As someone who recently developed knee problems and cannot stand for very long, and had to start a strict calorie counting diet, these would be awesome. No measuring spoons to have to wash, and no guessing if that uneven slice of butter is under or over a serving. So yeah, under certain circumstances these would be ideal.

  38. Gramma C

    Great timing 🤦‍♀️
