Paid survey apps promise easy money for sharing your opinions, but so many of them fail to live up to the hype. Low pay, high cash-out barriers, and annoying account issues often make it feel like these apps aren’t worth the effort.

I’ve tested a LOT of survey platforms for Hip2Save, but most of them didn’t earn my recommendation due to their high frustration-to-payoff ratio. I’m always searching for other opportunities, though, and LifePoints recently caught my attention.

The fact that it has over 29,000 five-star TrustPilot ratings definitely piqued my interest, so I was eager to give this platform a try to see if the juice would be worth the squeeze.

Here’s my honest review of LifePoints after testing their paid survey app:

LifePoints registration was free and easy. It only took me a few minutes, and I didn’t have to share too much personal information – just basic demographics.

The app interface was really clean and easy to use, too. As soon as I finished the registration process, I could easily see the available surveys, the estimated time to take each one, and the points I would earn upon completion.

With many other survey companies, I would often answer extensive personal questions just to find out that I didn’t qualify for any points. But I was pleasantly surprised that I never felt like my time was being wasted with LifePoints, and the surveys were interesting. There was just one survey that disqualified me part of the way through, and I had only invested a couple of minutes of my time at that point.

What you’re really wondering: How easy it is to earn & cash out on LifePoints?

  • LifePoints offers cash, gift cards (including Amazon, Walmart, Target & Starbucks), and charity donations
  • Redemption threshold is $5, so between 550 and 575 points, depending on the reward selected
  • Points can expire after 90 days of inactivity, so redeem or complete surveys regularly

I opted for the PayPal option and received my $5 reward within four days (it can take up to five). I spent an average of 20 minutes/day taking surveys, and was able to cash out within six days, which I thought was awesome!

Overall, I am really enjoying the app and would recommend it to someone looking for a slow and steady way to earn a little extra spending money.
