Earn Extra Spending Money w/ LifePoints Surveys (Here’s Our Honest Review!)
There’s a lot of hype around LifePoints Survey – here’s what we think!

Paid survey apps promise easy money for sharing your opinions, but so many of them fail to live up to the hype. Low pay, high cash-out barriers, and annoying account issues often make it feel like these apps aren’t worth the effort.
I’ve tested a LOT of survey platforms for Hip2Save, but most of them didn’t earn my recommendation due to their high frustration-to-payoff ratio. I’m always searching for other opportunities, though, and LifePoints recently caught my attention.
The fact that it has nearly 30,000 five-star TrustPilot ratings definitely piqued my interest, so I was eager to give this platform a try to see if the juice would be worth the squeeze.
*Note that you will need to sign up with the same email address that is linked to your PayPal account, if you’d want to cash out with that option.
Here’s my honest review of LifePoints after testing their paid survey app:
LifePoints registration is free and easy. It only took me a few minutes, and I didn’t have to share too much personal information – just basic demographics.
The app interface is really clean and easy to use, too. As soon as I finished the registration process, I could easily see the available surveys, the estimated time to take each one, and the points I would earn upon completion.
With many other survey companies, I would often answer extensive personal questions to find out that I didn’t qualify for any points. But I was pleasantly surprised that I never felt like my time was being wasted with LifePoints, and the surveys were interesting.
There was just one survey that disqualified me part of the way through, and I had only invested a couple of minutes of my time at that point.

What you’re really wondering: How easy is it to earn & cash out on LifePoints?
- LifePoints offers cash, gift cards (including Amazon, Walmart, Target & Starbucks), and charity donations
- Redemption threshold is $5, so between 550 and 575 points, depending on the reward selected
- Points can expire after 90 days of inactivity, so redeem or complete surveys regularly
I opted for the PayPal option and received my $5 reward within four days (it can take up to five). I spent an average of 20 minutes/day taking surveys and was able to cash out within six days, which I thought was awesome!
Overall, I am really enjoying the app and would recommend it to someone looking for a slow and steady way to earn a little extra spending money! Download it for Android or iOS!

I found it interesting that when I searched on hip2save where this was originally posted that the original post no longer appears, just this new one. I signed up for the Lifepoints survey program about 10 days ago. Prior to this I was part of Pinecone Research for many years, but the survey opportunities with that company have been terrible for at least the last 6 months, putting in lots of time only to get disqualified for almost every single survey. Lifepoints was easy to sign up for and I was able to redeem $5 within 3 days, and another $10 in the past week. I have been getting disqualified a lot- just had 5 offers showing before I came to post and was disqualified from all of them over the course of 20 minutes. The other thing to realize is that no matter what type of reward you choose you have to link with a verified PayPal account that uses the same email you’ve signed up with. For that to happen I had to sign up for a new PayPal account and link my back account, something I was not happy about because I was not made aware of the requirement before spending time completing several surveys. Overall, much better than what Pinecone has become– at least I’m able to earn money, but I’m my experience there are still quite a few disqualified surveys.
Thank you for the helpful review Sue
Sorry for any confusion on the post, Sue! This is the same one, however it was just refreshed and “bumped” to an earlier time so that anyone that may not have seen it yet, could check it out if interested. Thanks so much for letting us know your thoughts on LifePoints and how it’s been working for you. ❤️
I have been using it for quite a while and am usually dq. I just finally reached enough points to get a $5 gift card and then will delete this app. I had heard it was a good pay but not for me.
Sorry to hear that, Kenna. Thanks a bunch for sharing your experience! Glad you could earn the $5 gift card.
Do you have to do this on a phone? I use my computer for things like this, not my phone. Anyway when I click the link I get just a white screen with nothing. I too am frustrated with Pinecone Research.
Hey Gail! It looks like you can use this in your web browser too when clicking through the link above. đź’•
I love Hip2Save, but it seems this survey site is really being pushed and promoted and I’ve noticed most of the reviews of the site are negative. I understand getting incentives from companies, but I would hope that Hip2Save is also putting out the good companies and not just looking at the bottom dollar kickback. I’ve been doing Pinecone Research for many years and it’s simply not worth the effort anymore. You spend 10 minutes on a survey to then be disqualified. This company seems to be just as bad, if not worse.
Hey Roxanna! Sorry for any confusion. ❤️ We actually had Hip Sidekick Jenna test this out personally for a few weeks, and she found it to be one of the best survey groups she’s tried before (and we have had her vet lots over the years – most that never made it to the site because she found them frustrating.) Everyone will likely have different experiences, especially based on their demographics. Hoping this is more helpful and offers some peace of mind. 🤗 Which surveys have you found to be best? We’d love to check into more suggestions! 🤗
Very good and great
