Hi! Honestly, before I purchased one of these bags, I felt similar to you. BUT I have to say that this belt bag is now one of my favorite accessories and I have permanently ditched my purse in favor of the belt bag. This belt bag is the perfect size to hold your phone, credit cards, keys, lip gloss etc without being bulky and I love that it can be worn in so many ways. Although you definitely don’t need to splurge for the Lulu version (as there are great lookalikes on Amazon that we mention at the bottom of this post), the belt bag design itself is awesome in my opinion.

This was my college student daughter’s favorite holiday gift. For once, I was able to surprise her with something she likes and uses almost daily. She’s an athlete, so she wears it while running or crossing campus to class. I also bought one for my other daughter, who is a teacher. She already owned a cheaper version of the bag from Amazon she bought for music festivals, but it was coming apart. She uses it to keep her hands free and her phone secure. She’ll be travelling soon and will use it then.

I originally bought the dupe off Amazon. Then I finally got my hands on the LuLu. To my surprise, I actually prefer the dupe. My 10 year old ended up with the brand name. The Amazon dupe is literally identical and the belt is so much more comfortable.

Same here. I first bought a dupe (for less than $10!) from Amazon, and then the Lululemon one a few weeks later. I also prefer the dupe one as it has the double zippers and the strap is much better (the Lululemon’s strap just keeps loosening up for some reason). But I’ve kept them both because it’s nice to have a backup in case something happens to the other one.
