I’ve used basically every whitening product under the sun, which as you can imagine has led to enamel breakdown along with some sensitivity. I found Lumineux after searching for whitening products that wouldn’t do more damage but would still be effective. I’m happy to say they live up to the name!
I was able to do 7 treatments so far (and will do a few more) and each time, I was shocked that my teeth didn’t have any sense of pain after, even more so when I would drink ice water and there wasn’t a single bit of sensitivity! I was happy with my teeth/ whitening routine before but was intrigued by Lumineux after hearing so many influencers rave about them. Plus, the added benefit of Lumineux ‘supporting a healthy oral biome’ was really important to me.
My smile was mostly white before, but there’s always room for improvement 😉 so in order to really measure the Lumienux difference I did the white paper test. Are they that much better than crest professional strips?
Hey, kimhavelka! When it comes to sensitivity, YES, these strips are better. Having used Crest white strips in my 20s, I didn’t think much of the enamel damage that could be happening to my teeth, and over time they became a lot more sensitive, especially after I would do a whitening treatment. I don’t have that issue with that at all using Lumineux strips. I’ve even drank cold water right after taking off a set of strips — they don’t recommend this, but I had forgotten and was surprised they didn’t sting.
I will say, with Crest, you see results a little bit faster (hydrogen peroxide formulas will do that), and they have even stronger rapid options like the 2-hour whitening strips, but by the end of a typical Lumineux whitening treatment, the results are honestly all the same. I prefer the Lumineux strips at this point and haven’t used Crest since.

I have it, but I didn’t use their toothpaste for this treatment so that I could get the strips results on their own. So if you’re on the fence, you don’t necessarily need the toothpaste!
