McDonalds Chicken Sandwich on top of wrapper

McDonald’s new menu items are always worth getting excited about. And this month, the restaurant is dropping something BIG!

Starting October 10th and while supplies last, you’ll be able to snag a Chicken Big Mac at participating McDonalds restaurants. This new sandwich has all the toppings of the iconic Big Mac, except that it will be served with two tempura battered chicken patties instead of beef.

A pop-up restaurant called McDonnell’s appeared for one day in L.A. and it offered a very similar chicken sandwich. It was a hit with customers, with many calling the sandwich a “McDonald’s dupe.” It turns out it was no dupe – McDonald’s was behind the pop-up the whole time!

Based on that feedback, the Chicken Big Mac seems to qualify as a real Big Mac. You’ll have to stop by a participating McDonald’s and order one yourself to see if you agree!

I tried them. EXTREMELY difficult to eat. It’s one of those meals you need to take home and deconstruct.
