This has been a favorite play set for the little ones. It’s actually pretty accurate pretend play. It includes an eye cover and “tests” then a mirror and the box doubles as a glasses display, so they can try on their glasses. The glasses can also actually be worn, as they are kids’ sizes. Even the box is made well and everything is able to be stored and put away with a slide-in cover.
I’m an optician and I have never seen a toy that encouraged my profession! So cool! I had to have it for myself. Made very well.
The child is gloriously distracted when playing with so I think it’s good. I love that it’s an unorthodox toy, and helps to reduce the stigma of wearing glasses. I have many pairs myself so it wouldn’t have been an issue (since children like to mirror their caretakers) but the more examples they see, the more they normalize. Plus, glasses are great for accessorizing 🙂
