We’re big fans of Dr. Seuss’s original My Book About Me, and we think the Christmas version would be such a fun way to get your child in on all of the Grinch-mas cheer! They’ll have the chance to write and draw about their favorite holiday traditions with a little help from Dr. Seuss himself.

I bought this as a pre-Christmas activity for me and my 5-year-old daughter to do together and we love it! The idea is so clever and it makes such a wonderful hardcover keepsake! The book has certain lines and pages from the original Grinch book, but most of the pages are fill-in-the-blank and coloring/drawing activities that describe your own family traditions. We usually do a few pages a day because they are quick activities. Some of the drawing activities include drawing their stocking, what’s on their plates for Christmas dinner, decorating a Christmas tree, drawing their favorite ornament from the tree, and drawing their pet dressed as a reindeer like Max to name a few.
Lots of fun activities/exercises to do with your kid that really help get everyone in the Christmas spirit. When you’re done with all the pages you have an excellent keepsake you can look back on as your child transitions into a moody contrary teenager. Do start going through this early though… I tried to do a few pages a night with my five-year-old daughter a few nights a week starting at Thanksgiving and there were actually several pages we never got around to finishing before Christmas.
I bought 2 of these books for my girls, ages 6 & 3. They absolutely love being able to create their own book and I will get to cherish it forever!
I purchased two of these and send them to my niece and nephew. Their mom says they are great quality and the kids are so excited to have their own book to write in!
