My Book About Me (Start This Dr. Seuss Tradition & Create a Priceless Keepsake)
Looking for a fun kids activity book to fill out for a priceless keepsake?
If you have a young child or grandchild, don’t miss out on creating this timeless Dr. Seuss tradition by filling out the interactive Dr. Seuss book – My Book About Me!
Kids will essentially write their own biography by answering some funny and whimsical questions from Dr. Seuss. The result turns out to be a priceless keepsake that is super fun to look back on years later!
In fact, I still have My Book About Me that I made in 1985. My kids found it hilarious to read my answers and were excited to fill out their own books.
I’m so glad they were able to fill out their books at a young age so we can look back and enjoy their cute answers every so often.
Each page has unique questions to answer such as:
“My favorite food is____”
“My teeth I counted them. I have ___up top, and ____ upstairs.”
“My home has ___ steps. There are ___ forks in my house.”
“My longest hair is ___ inches.”
It definitely has some educational value and a great way to capture a snapshot into your child’s world to look back on later.
My Book About Me makes a wonderful and unique gift for any young child or expectant mom!
In fact, I love to give this classic Dr. Seuss book as a baby shower gift or birthday gift for kids because usually, it’s something most people won’t receive duplicates of. The sturdy hardcover book is available in most bookstores and through Amazon, recommended for ages 4-8.
Did you fill out your own My Book About Me as a child, too? Let us know in the comments!
Beat boredom with these ideas for screen-free busy bags for kids!
Does anyone have this book? Would it be a good one for an adopted child – like are the questions about them now, or about them as babies, or both? Anything about the parents or siblings?
I have this book from when I was a kid and bought one for my daughter too! It’d be great for an adopted child because it’s all about who they are now.. how many teeth, what hair cut, what color eyes, favorite things, what they want to be when they grow up, etc.
Yes I think so! – the questions are about them and their home and interests now.
I have this one from when I was a child and my kids love when I read it to them. I’ve been wanting to get one for each of them. Thanks for posting!
Oh yay! Thanks for sharing!
At what age should this book be started at? It’s probably for younger kids, but I never started one for my daughter who’s a teen.
Ages 4-8 is what the book recommends. That’d be fun if someone wrote a teen or adult version!
I would suggest the “question a day” books for older kids. I found one on amazon that asks a question for the child to answer about themself every day for a year, and then has three spaces so they can redo it for three years and see their answers change! Really cool for preteens/teens
I have mine from over 40 years ago!
That’s so awesome 👏!
